I've bought a couple of housey additions to organise and tidy my home. As I have to get ready for work so early in the morning, I tend to put my makeup on and do my hair in the front room so I don't wake my beloved up. This tends to mean my mantle piece gets littered with hair and makeup products which annoys me and my fella loads. I've put everything in this wooden box on the harth with my makeup bag so I'm all organised for in the mornings. 

I love this little drawer ontop of the mantle piece, I think it's super cute and shabby chic looking. I've got it to keep all our bits and bobs in that we insist on keeping in the front room! I also love this genius tray for your sofa- it's perfect for brews and biscuits. This makeup storage was a super bargain from TKMaxx compared with ones I've seen in John Lewis etc. I've already filled it with makeup though! I hope you're OK, thanks for stopping by x

I've had this dress for a couple of weeks but I've been saving it for our work night out on Friday 13th...well that went well! I love this dress so much- it's my favourite colour of the season. I teamed it with my crazy new shoes- they're just on the right side of pink for me rather than being orange! I wore this when I went out with my mum last week. I've got a busy week this week! Along with working I'm going on a spa day, going to a MAC event and meeting up with my friends. Well, I didn't say I was busy doing not nice things did I?! May Favourites.

This month has gone so fast! I can't believe we're nearly half way through the year- it's so weird! And yet it continues to rain! Alas, British weather you never fail to disapoint. 

MAC Patentpolish Lip Crayon- this has been my 'go to' lip product this month, the lilacy pink shade is super wearable and pretty much goes with everything. It's also really easy to apply (not mirror required) and it lasts a real long time on the lips. Love. 

L'oreal Skin Perfection duo- these products have been my everyday staples since I bought them. I've definitely noticed and improvement in my skin texture and oiliness. 

MaxFactor CC Cream Crayon- this is a dark circle saviour! I'd even call this a Holy Grail product it's that good, seriously check it out! 

Avon AeroVolume Mascara- I bought this with my first Avon order as a Rep this month and I've used it every day since. It separates the lashes really well and adds length and volume. 

Essie Spin the Bottle- the perfect everyday nude nail varnish. Enough said.

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge- I've not used anything else since buying this to appl my foundation and concealer. It gives a super smooth airbrushed finish and makes my makeup last all day long. 

O.P.I Nail Envy Duo- after just one week my nails are longer, stronger and in amazing condition. No more peeling, bending or ridges for me!

WOWZERS! All that in one tiny box! What am I most looking forward to using? Well I'm already wearing the Essie nail varnish and I can't wait to use the Too faced Mascara (let's see if it lives up to it's name!). I probably won't use the Hand Wash or L'Occitane bosh lotion to be honest, they're just not really my kind of products. Avon Ideal Flawless CC Cream.

Avon Ideal Flawless CC Cream in Ivory (£12, Avon).

The launch of the Avon CC Cream went under my radar tbh, it was in the period between me not ordering with my family as a customer and before I signed up as a rep! It was on offer so I thought I'd give it a go. I like the black packaging, I think it's nice and simple; but I'm not sure it looks as nice as similar priced products say from No7- maybe that's just me being fussy! It has SPF50 which is unreal! I'm super impressed with that as I'm mega paranoid about sun damage.

The Ideal Flawless CC Cream is a colour correcting makeup base aimed at combatting dark circles, redness and anything else you want to colour correct. Ivory is the lightest shade available but it is a little on the peachy (I really don't wanna say orange!) side so I doubt it will suit the palest of skin tones. The texture is really unusual- it's like a thick air-whipped creamy kind of texture. I doesn't give mega loads of coverage but it is buildable which is good. It has a bit of a dewy finish which I'm not a fan of but it's easily combatted with a finishing powder (I use MAC Blotting Powder). I'm not going to lie, I'm not mad on this. It's got some qualities I like (lasting power, buildable coverage) and some that I don't (shade, finish, SPF and coverage). Overall, I don't think I'm going to be reaching for this on a daily basis but I'll deffo try it again. Thanks for stopping by x

This is one of my new dresses from my Friday shopping haul. This is totally my kind of dress with it's monochrome print, collar detail and loose fitting. It's super comfy and the fabrics really soft and light, it's lovely to wear. I wore this get-up last Saturday and it rained like the end of days so my feet were soaking wet all day! I have no one to blame but myself. However, it's made me want to buy a new pair of boots- typical! I treated myself to a patent lace up pair from ASOS, so I'll share some photos soon.

I desperately need my hair cutting- look at the state of my fringe! My fella's mam has booked us in to get our hair done and then our makeup at Chanel on Saturday- her treat! I cannot wait! O.P.I Nail Envy Challenge.

O.P.I Nail Envy Original and Matte duo with Exclusive display box (£26, currently £23.28 on offer exclusive to QVCuk.com).

O.P.I are a brand synonymous with salon quality nail colour and care products. They're used in nail salons across the country (not just their own) and are famous throughout the world. Possibly their most famous product is Nail Envy, a nail repair and strengthening treatment system designed for use in your own home. 

I've wanted to try this for years now but at £18.50 per bottle I was all like 'no way mannn!'. But my lovely friend Dany has been using it recently and the results speak for themselves- her nails look like they've been sprinkled with Miracle Grow they're sooooo long and strong! Well, I couldn't resist giving my stumpy, peeling, soft nails a chance at being reborn! So, I got this bad boy mega saver set off my beloved QVC and I've set myself the Nail Envy Challenge. So the challenge is based on a seven day cycle of: apply two coats of treatment and then any coloured nail varnish if desired; then every other day apply one coat of treatment; on the seventh day remove all varnish and start again on a clean nail. The Original Nail Envy gives a high gloss finish so it's perfect for applying over nail varnish. The Matte Nail Envy is (obviously) matte and it actually looks like you've got bare nails so it's great for men or people like myself who have to have bare nails for work (boo). This isn't a review because I need to comprehensively try this product out! I'll do a full summary and review in about a month to let you know how I'm getting on. What I Did This Week #15.

I feel like I've been really busy this week, more so than usual for some reason but I don't think I've done any more than usual. I spent the first half of the week working (boo) and then Friday and Saturday shopping (yay!). 

1. Haulin'- I hit the shops BIG time this week. I got a mega haul from town, mostly from Primarni and a couple of bits from New Look, Simply Be and Topshop. I also got my first Avon order delivered so I spent time bagging up all my customers' goodies and of course I treated myself to a few bits! I'll be posting all about them in due course. 

2. Readin'- I'm trying to turn my magazine addiction into a weekly blog feature, writing about the magazines I've been loving and reading over the week. This week I've talked about my fave Look Magazine if you wanna check it out.

3. Nailin'- I've finally caved and bought an O.P.I Nail Envy duo and I've set myself a challenge to sort out my nails, I'll be doing update posts to let you know how I get on.

My mum took me shopping on Friday and treated me (OK, more like spoilt me rotten) so I thought I'd share with you my new goodies! Can I just say, I think that the high street is on fire atm, they're making such lovely but wearable clothes at really good prices. I think the recent burst of summer weather has inspired me to buy some more colourful, pretty summery clothes. 

I've picked up some lovely dresses so I'm covered for both daytime and nighttime! I've got a work night out coming up in June so I'm gonna save the beaded mint one for then I think. I've got some super girly floral headbands which I'm sure will be gracing many festivals with other people, but alas not with little me! I fell in love with this top quilt and it was a bargain at £30- I've seen them for hundreds before. I think these sunglasses are my favourite purchase with their multicoloured floral detail but I'm also loving the pastel coloured clear makeup bag set. I hope you're all OK, thanks for stopping by x

Avon Gel Finish Nail Varnish in Dazzle Pink.

Avon Gel Finish Nail Varnish in Dazzle Pink (£7, currently £3.50 on offer from Avon).

Gel finish nail varnishes are all the rage this year from high end brands like Nails Inc to bargain brands like SEVENTEEN, everyone is getting in on the act. The idea of gel finish polishes is that you can get the look of gel nail enhancements without needing any of the equipment or expertise, in the comfort of your own home. I bought two shades- Dazzle Pink and Lavender Sky but the lilac one was out of stock, boooooooo. 

Dazzle Pink is a lot peachier than I expected, I was hoping it was more baby pink from the swatches in the brochure tbh. Having said that, I do like the colour, it just wasn't what I was expecting! Also unexpectedly, the nail varnish has a super subtle shimmer running through it but it doesn't effect the colour so much. Two coats of this polish gives a flawless, high gloss finish; however, I personally don't find the finish of this polish a glossy as other gel effect varnishes I've tried, namely the Nails Inc ones. To me, it's more like a standard high quality nail varnish which isn't a bad thing at all! I hope you're all OK, thanks for stopping by x

On Thursday, my first Avon delivery came- two huge boxes full to the brim of products for my lovely customers. But it would take an iron will to not order any treats for myself! I decided to go for their CC Cream as we've had a bit of nice weather recently and I've been enjoying wearing lighter-weight foundations. I can't wait to try out this Makeup Setting Spray which will be launched in Brochure 11, I've been using setting sprays for around a year now so I'm looking forward to seeing how this one compares. I've already started using the AeroVolume mascara and I'm mighty impressed so watch this space (see what I did there?). Avon AeroVolume Mascara.

Avon AeroVolume Mascara (£8.50, currently £5 in Brochure 10).

Avon have launched a brand new mascara called the AeroVolume mascara. Going with the space theme, it's supposed to be 'aerospace inspired' built with lightweight to volume and life lashes and the brush itself is star shaped to create lift and volume. It all sounds very fancy and a little bit complicated but it's just as user friendly as any other mascara! 

Can I just say, I love the packaging- I think it's really different and stands out from other products in the market. The brush itself does have a subtle star shape, it feels quite square actually with various length bristles. The first thing I noticed about this mascara is that it gives my lashes loads of length, like rediculous length! The volume comes with applying a couple of layers and the lashes soon become defined and thickened. This is a true true black giving even the fairest of lashes a super defined look. I think this is an absolute bargain at £5 (currently on offer) and it's for sure going to be my everyday mascara. Have you tried this? Let me know, thanks for stopping by x

I ordered this dress because I fell in love the moment I saw it. It's deffo going to my my 'dress of SS14' with it's floaty smock style and super cute crochet detail on the top. I just think it's really effortless but super stylish at the same time. I teamed it with these Topshop Geek shoes I bought a while ago but haven't worn yet because of the crappy weather! 

I wore this on Wednesday evening when I went out for tea with my chum before she goes away this weekend- lucky her! My first Avon order came on Thursday so I spent the evening sorting out my invoice and bagging up my customers' orders which was super exciting! I've been really enjoying it so far and I've not found it particularly taxing so we'll see how it goes! I hope you're all OK, thanks for stopping by x

What I Bought This Week.

For some reason, I've felt the last dregs of my money burning a hole in my proverbial pocket this week as payday draws near (Friday yayyyyyyy!). This has led to me treating myself to a couple of things that I thought I'd share with you...

Latest In Beauty the Dream Box (£19.95 free P&P)- I've had a Latest In Beauty box bought for me for Christmas before and I loved it. I used to subscribe to She Said Beauty's monthly beauty boxes but ended my subscription after a while when I left uni and wasn't working. However, this bad boy caught my eye in another blogger's post. This edition has been put together by blogger Jane off The British Beauty Blogger (http://www.britishbeautyblogger.com) and contains fifteen, YES FIFTEEN, samples, minis and 7 full sized favourite tried and tested products. Normally I tend not to go for stuff like this but there's some products that I really wanna try including the Benefit That's Potent Eye Cream, Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara and the Revolution palette. 

Garnier Micellar Water- much less interesting but I've repurchased this as I literally use it every nig to remove my makeup. It's lasted me a good two months and I probs still have around 1/5 of the bottle left. It's currently on offer in Tesco if anyone's interested!

ASOS Swing Dress (£38)- I saw this online while browsing and instantly fell in love. It's just the perfect loose fitting smock style I've been loving this season and it's so cute with the lace and polka dot combo. It's in a really light material which will be super nice in the hot weather. It reminds me of something my fave blogger LLYMLRS (llymlrs.com) would wear so that's a bonus!

O.P.I Nail Envy and Matte Nail Envy plus Storage- I'm a massive fan of QVC, especially when it comes to buying famous beauty brands like O.P.I at bargain prices. I've always wanted to try their Nail Envy because my nails have always been shit but I've never wanted to spend that much money. However, my friend bought it recently and has been raving about it (hi Dany, I know you're reading this!) so I've took the plunge. I'm gonna use the Matte one as a base coat and the original one as my top up treatment and top coat. Plus you get this exclusive storage made especially for QVC!

Look Magazine- 26th May 2014 Issue.

Look Magazine is hands down my favourite magazine. I've been buying it religiously for more years than I can remember every single week. I should really get a subscription but I've never got round to it! I love their balance between celeb stories (something which I only have a minor interest in) and fashion, makeup and trend reports (major interest!). So what's inside their latest issue...

Oh dear. I'm about to get on my soap box here so either brace yourself or move onto the next paragraph. Am I the only person who sees a massive double standard in the publics' reaction to the Solange Knowles attacking Jay Z story here? If a man were to attack a woman like Solange Attacked Jay Z, he would be being vilified for being a woman-beater who deserves to be punished and brought to justice, and rightly so! But why is this incident with reverse gendered perpetrator and victim being passed off as a 'family feud', speculatively caused by rumours of infidelity?! No man or woman has the right to attack another person in this way (full stop) and it be remotely suggested that the victim deserved it in some way. I personally think Jay Z should be being heralded as an example of a real man because he didn't retaliate. This is a form of domestic abuse and assault; we wouldn't stand for it being done to a woman so why should we stand for it being done to a man?

On a lighter note, I'm loving this mini-piece on the trend forecast (see what I did there?) about plastic rain macs. I myself have a red and black check one which I bought in London from Topshop last year. They're super practical, which is unusual for fashionistas, and cute. I'm even tempted to buy a more summery coloured one for the predictable British summer showers. 

This is why I love Look magazine so much- their mini-trend reports. I didn't know I needed a palm-cuff (or that they even existed for that matter) until I read this article! Talk about advertising! I've found myself browsing the web for the right one for me, ready for purchasing on payday this Friday. 

In this issue there's a piece called The Cool Online Brands You Need To Know. I'm loving the look of Another8- in particular this leopard print tunic dress which is g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s! The piece features 10 on-trend and online brands of the minute that will have fashionistas and bloggers spending their cash on!
