Avon Footworks Macadamia Nut Collection.

Avon Footworks Macadamia Nut Relaxing Foot Soak, Exfoliating Scrub and Moisturising Cream (£4.50 each, to launch in Avon Brochure 17).

No one likes talking about feet, but here goes. Summer leaves my feet tired, achy and just generally not in the best condition. I welcomed this trio to my beauty regime and they have changed my feet for the better! Firstly, the toasted Macadamia Nut scent is divine it's so sweet and warm.

I treated myself to a full on pedicure using these bad boys and my foot spa. The Relaxing Foot Soak is essentially like a bath oil just for your feet; gone are the days of using washing up liquid for a foot soak! This makes the water feel soft and luxurious with that lovely scent and softens your feets. Then after a lengthy soak, I used the Exfoliating Scrub which was like a sugar scrub rather than a beaded particle exfoliator. This helped get rid of any dry or dead skin (ew) and smoothed over my feet. Finally, I've been using the Moisturising Cream every night to keep my feet soft and smooth.

Overall, I'm loving this collection- the smell is a big selling point but I really like the scrub and soak within the trio as they feel so luxurious but they're so inexpensive! I hope you're all ok, thanks for stopping by x

August Favourites.

This last month has gone so fast! That's deffo because it's been the best month of 2014 for me (so far!) with our engagement, my beloved starting work, our holiday etc! On reflection I've tried and loved loadsssss of products this month so it was difficult to narrow it down to a few favourites. Here goes...

Avon Big & Daring Mascara- love this mascara. It gives you big fluttery bold lashes with minimum effort.

Topshop Lip Bullet in Call Me Queen Be- my new favourite lippy, it's like a wintery version of my beloved MAC Kelly Osbourne lippy in Dodgy Girl.

Avon EDP in Luck- my new everyday perfume this is sweet and sophisticated and gets loads of compliments!

Tangle Teezer- my hair saviour!

Avon Eyeshadow Duo in Deep Wine- this has been my go-to eyeshadow set on my days off, the colours are super grungy and have amazing colour payoff.

Rimmel Brow This Way in Dark Brown- screw you Benefit Gimme Brow, this bad boy brow setting gel is the one for me.

Avon Magix Multi-Benefit Illuminator- illuminating highlighting concealing genius.

I hope you're all OK, thanks for stopping by x

Avon Luck EDP.

Avon Luck EDP (£15) and free gift including cosmetic bag, Body Spray and Body Lotion (to launch in Brochure 16).

Avon's latest perfume launch is fronted by international tennis star Maria Sharapova and oozes sophistication and class. I love the girly quilted glass bottle with golden bow detail which is mirrored in the packaging of the accompanying freebies. So what does Luck smell like...

"Sparkling citrus and luscious berries blend with creamy white florals and warm sandalwood"- Avon Brochure 16.

I love this perfume and I honestly didn't think I would! I thought it would be a bit 'old ladyish' but it's totally not! It's actually very sweet and berry scented but in a sophisticated way; compared with the perfumes I usually like that are sickly sweet like candy floss! You can definitely smell the citrus notes in this perfume. I love the free gift that comes with this perfume- you get a body spray version of the perfume which is great for one-the-go and the body lotion which is very hydrating and scented. These two goodies come wrapped up in a shimmery golden bag sealed with a cute black bow. I'd deffo recommend you get this- either for yourself or a gift. Where else can you get such an amazing deal?! Thanks for stopping by x

Avon AW14 Trend Makeup.

[lipstick in this photo is Avon Ultra Colour Bold in Power Plum].

Avon Eyeshadow Duo in Deep Wine (£6, introductory offer £4) and Ultra Colour Lipstick in Very Violet (£7.50, introductory offer £5) both to launch in Brochure 16.

Along with a new fashion season comes new makeup trends and shades. Avon have launched an Art Deco inspired mini collection including eyeshadow duos (available in three shades); lipsticks (available in in three shades). The first thing of note with these products is the stunning Art Deco inspired packaging with bronze foil filigree style detail on the lids.

The Eyeshadow Duo in Deep Wine is a really unique colour duo in my opinion. The shade on the left is a beautiful milky coffee colour and the shade on the right is a plumy deep brown shade. Both shades are matte and super soft and blendable. I really like the lighter brown shade as it gives a really grungy 'hollowed out socket' kind of look.

Ultra Colour Lipstick in Very Violet is a lovely mid toned purple (not shown in the FOTD picture) which is super hydrating and creamy. It lasts really well on the lips needing minimal reapplication.

I'm totally in love with these colours and I think they're super perfect for AW14. Hope you're OK, thanks for stopping by x

Avon Big and Daring Mascara.

Avon Big & Daring Mascara in Black (£8.50 full price, £7 introductory launch in brochure 15).

Avon have made loads of hype about launching their brand new Big & Daring Mascara in Brochure 15. In fact it headlines the front cover of that brochure!, now that's big news! This new mascara claims to make lashes look big, bold and dramatic- we've heard it all before though right? Well I personally think that Avon have delivered their promises with this new launch.

The Big & Daring Mascara has lovely bold packaging with a black and metallic pink colour scheme. The most impressive thing about this mascara is the brush- my gosh it's HUGE! It's fat, bushy and curved to perfectly hug your lashes. The bristliness means that each individual lash gets coated with mascara to give a full lash look. I've been using this as my everyday mascara but it's dead easy to build it up into something more dramatic for a night out. It's not at all flakey or heavy on the lashes so it's a winner for me! Avon AW14 FOTD.

Big & Daring Mascara in Black
True Colour Eyeshadow Duo in Deep Wine
Mega Effects Liquid Eyeliner in Black
Ultra Colour Bold Lipstick in Power Plum

Avon Magix Multi-benefit Illuminator.

Avon Magix Multi-Benefit Illuminator in Illuminating Light (£8.50 full price, introductory offer of £4.50).

I'm not gonna lie, I totally only bought this because it was on special offer for Avon Representatives! However, I'm so glad I made the decision to buy it because it's become and instant makeup bag staple for me! The Magix Multi-Benefit Illuminator does pretty much what it says on the tin- it's a cream consistency highlighter that also doubles up as a concealer. I really like the packaging of this product- the twist brush applicator allows precision application and smooth coverage. Available in three skin tone shades light, beige and caramel the liquid cream formula allows you to colour match with your foundation or base makeup. In terms of it being illuminating, I'd totally vouch for that! It gives a beautiful subtle shimmery glow to the skin that isn't at all glittery or false looking. I love applying this under my eyes as the illuminating finish combats my dark circles even better than a concealer does on it's own. It has a lovely natural finish that isn't at all cakey or thick. I'd deffo recommend this- I've been using this every day since I bought it! Thanks for stopping by x

July Favourites.

I've not really had many favourites this month which makes a change from me struggling to choose from loads of products I've loved! I don't think I've bought much new makeup or Skincare this month, I've just been enjoying stuff that I've already got. Anyway, here's a selection of my fave products of this summer month. Please link me to your July Favourites posts! Thanks for stopping by x

MAC Lipstick in Pure Heroine and Avon Ultra Glimmerstick Lip Liner in Deep Plum- I used this duo to create my Lorde inspired makeup look and I'm looking forward to rocking these all throughout the winter!

Nails Inc. in Showfield Street- this QVC exclusive shade had my name written all over it and I love it loads!

Chanel Le Vernis in 615 Sweet Lilac- hands down my fave nail varnish at the minute. I also think this is my favourite Chanel nail varnish in my collection! It's just so me and it's so wearable I love it!

MAC Kelly Osbourne Lipstick in Dodgy Girl- this will be in my favourites always. Favourite lipstick of all time, no competition.

Avon True Colour Eyeshadow Quads in Nearly Naked and Barely There- I've been wearing these two quads every day off I've had since I bought them! I love shade two in the bottom palette especially but the top palette is my fave by far! It's just so wearable and different with the pink shades.

NEW Avon Eyeshadow Quad for Hazel Eyes.

Avon True Colour Eyeshadow Quad for Hazel Eyes (£9 full price; introductory offer of £5.50 in Brochure 14).

Brand new for Autumn 2014, Avon have launched a range of eyeshadow quads and double ended eyeliners tailored to suit certain eye colours: blue, green, Hazel and brown. I think this is a lovely idea for makeup novices struggling to know where to start in the wonderful world of eyeshadows. However, being makeup fan, I myself just went for the colours that I liked the most! I've got grey blue eyes so I should technically go for the option for blue eyes but as it's very browny neutral I feel I'm well covered in that area with my NAKED and NAKED3 palettes!

The quad for Hazel Eyes contains a wonderful range of purple shades. As with the other eyeshadow quads I've bought from Avon, the shadows are numbered 1-4 to help you know where to place them on your lid to create the perfect look. Shade 1 is a lovely pearly iridescent highlight (minimal colour payoff); shade 2 is my absolute fave as it's a pastel iridescent lilac; shade 3 is a lovely steely grey and finally shade 4 is a subtle metallic royal purple. I love the versatility of the looks you can create with this palette as you can go super space-age with shades 1 and 2; or girly with just shade 2 or super smoky using all of the colours. As always with Avon's eyeshadows, these are super pigmented and a little goes a real long way. I love these quads (incase you haven't noticed!) so deffo check them out. Thanks for stopping by x

Avon Calling!

I've got my latest mini Avon haul for you to see! It's a bit sneaky of me because all these items aren't available to customers until Brochure 14 but I'm road testing them so I can recommend them to my customers when they launch. First I got my hands on the new Clearskin Blemishing Clearing tainted Moisturiser which will be available in two shades- Light and Medium- when it launches. I'm not one for wearing tinted moisturisers as they're minimal coverage but I thought this would be nice to use on 'no makeup days' and as a primer to clear my skin while I wear makeup.

The eyeshadow quad is part of a new range aimed at complimenting various eye colours- the collection contains four new eyeshadow quads and four new double ended eyeliners for blue, green, hazel and brown eyes respectively. I chose the Truecolour Eyeshadow Quad for Hazel Eyes, despite having blue eyes because I liked the purple toned shades in the quad. I don't really buy into the whole eye colour matching thing personally as I enjoy wearing all kinds of eyeshadows but for everyday use I think these are a great idea.

The cover story of Brochure 14 is the launch of the new and improved Ultra Colour Lipsticks which Avon have repackaged and reformulated. I chose shade Power Plum to try but I'm already lusting after some other shades hehe. Finally, a bit of a random purchase for me, but I bought the new Magix Multibenefit Illuminator which will be available in three shades. It's got one of those brush applicators where the product twists up through the brush for application.

Keep your peepers peeled for full reviews and sneak peaks of these products. Thanks for stopping by x

Lorde Lips ft MAC and Avon.

Left to right- Avon Lip Liner in Deep Plum, MAC Lipsticks in Pure Heroine (Amplified), Heroine (Matte) and Rebel (Satin).

Avon Glimmersticks Lip Liner in Deep Plum (£6 from Avon); Lorde for MAC Lipstick in Pure Herione (Amplified, £15.50 from MAC).

There's something so empowering about wearing a deep plum lip to me. Despite it being mid-summer, MAC launched their latest collaboration with Lorde. Although they were criticised for the 'collection' only containing one lisptick and an eyeliner (can you even call that a collection?!) no one was complaining about the lipstick, oh no. The name Pure Heroine is not only the name of Lorde's debut album but it's also a play on names based on one of MAC's latest return shades Heroine. I recently created a Lorde inspired makeup look (go check out the post!) using Pure Heroine so I thought now would be a good time to review it.

Pure Heroine is an Amplified finish lippy, which to me means high gloss and pure colour and this does not fail to impress. It's a super dark and sultry purple plum with not a hint of red in sight. It lasts ridiculously long on the lips, requiring few touch ups. I wore this over Avon Glimmersticks Lip Liner in Deep Plum which provided a great base for the lisptick making it last longer and truer to colour. Although Deep Plum is more reddy than Pure Heroine, it still does the job for me. It's super creamy and precise with it's twist crayon type action.

Ask you can see from the comparisons, Pure Herione is literally an Amplified version of the amazing matte Heroine. I can't believe how red these lippies make Rebel look even though it wears like a lovely vampy shade. I would say of the three, Pure Heroine is my favourite. Well done MAC. Let me know what you think! Thanks for stopping by x
