No7 Lash Impact Intense Volume Control Mascara (£10 currently on offer in Boots).

I've been loving the No7 Exquisite Curl mascara that I bought in the Boots bargain bin recently, it's become my everyday mascara. However, being the sucker that I am I bought their brand new mascara launch the Lash Impact mascara. I'm not going to lie, I was totally taken in by the ruby red glittery packaging! How stunning is that?! It's truly a thing of beauty.

It has a nice, standard bristle brush which combs through and separates the lashes easily. At first, I wasn't sure about this mascara. It's quite a wet-liquid formula so it's really easy to make mistakes and get flecks of mascara all over your eyelids and under your eye! However, because of the formula it isn't heavy or gloopy on the lashes. It really does lengthen your lashes and they look super sleek yet natural. I'm not mad on this mascara, it's not going to replace any of my favourites any time soon. It's not one for me I'm afraid! Phage you tried this mascara? April Favourites.

There's been some clear favourites for me this April, I've been reaching for a few things over and over again. So here they are guys and girls...

Urban Decay NAKED3 Palette- I'm not gonna harp on about this one, because there's millions of reviews of this but my gosh it's stunning. It's all pink and rose gold tones that are super flattering and are great for Spring/Summer.

MAC Blotting Powder- this has instantly replaced MSFN in my everyday routine. It keeps my skin matte and shine free all day long and it doesn't effect the colour of my foundations.

Tart Amazonian Clay Blush in Flush- this has been on my cheeks everyday since I bought it. You can wear it super subtly or build it up to a Barbie pink. I'm so in love with this, thank you Tarte and QVCUK!

Nails Inc Nail Varnish in Kensington Square- I have worn this so many times this month it's not even funny! I've worn it alone, with a glitter ombré effect, with Nails Inc Floral polishes over it- I just love it! It's the perfect baby pink and it's so opaque and glossy it's stunning.

Vaseline Spray and Go- this is a wonder product, I don't know how I'd live without it now! I've never been good at applying body butters or moisturising my skin so this is the perfect solution! It's super quick and easy to use and it dries almost instantly so you can get dressed right away.

Real Techniques Blush and Powder Brushes- I bought these and they became instantly makeup bag staples, they're so lovely! The powder brush is amazing for all over the face and it's sooooooo soft. The blush brush goes perfectly with the Tarte blusher and is great for blending out contouring.

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge.

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge (£5.99, Boots).

When the Beauty Blender craze hit the blogosphere, I will admit that I was very skeptical. Many brands have replicated and altered the original and my favourite makeup brush brand Real Techniques have made this little egg shaped number. I bought this on the buy one get one half price offer in Superdrug along with an eyeshadow brush. 

So what's they fuss all about? This is a dense but soft sponge in the general shape of an egg. There's a pointed end which is perfect for concealing blemishes and for blending around the nose and eyes. The flat end is great for applying and blending in large areas like the cheeks and forehead. I find using this takes me longer to apply my foundation and concealer, however I think it makes them last longer and look much more natural. I can't believe how lovely this is- it makes even the fullest coverage foundation look soft and natural. Overall I'm super impressed with this and I'm reaching for it over my beloved Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. Have you tried this out? Let me know what you think if you have! What I Did This Week #11.

I've not done a WIDTW post for a couple of weeks now, mostly because I've been skirt so I've literally just been working and sleeping! However, with the end of April came Payday so this week I've been able to do a bit more fun things. 

1. Online shopping- I've tried to be restrained but there's been so many things I've wanted to buy on the interwebs! I bought this dress from ASOS and a blouse with cats on it, so cute. I nearly bought the Benefit Big Easy last night but the beauty gods much have been looking down on me because I didn't get it and today it's on 4 Easy Pay instalments so I've got it for under £10 today! 

2. I got tattooed- I got tattooed yesterday yayyyy. I got a moth tattooed just below my knee on my right leg. I've always wanted to get my knees tattooed but oh my Lord, it hurt soso bad near my knee!  

3. Real life shopping- I went shopping with my mum and Friday and then with my fella's mum yesterday. I got these lovely sandles and this stunning box bag from M&S- soooooo in love!

I wore this outfit a few weeks ago but I totally forgot to post it! I wore this when I went to the Theatre with my family to see Much Ado About Nothing- it sounds all very middle class doesn't it! Never mind. I loved this dress when I first saw it but I thought it was a bit pricey for how plain it was. I snapped it up recently when I saw it on sale- I can't remember how much for but it was deffo less than £20. It's just the kind of dress that you can chuck on and feel comfy in, you know what I mean? I love these boots, I need to wear them more often! I'm so tired I can't think what to write right now! Sorry for the millions of photos, I'm just so in love with this dress! I bought it last week off ASOS from the plus size range, it's a size 18 (I'm normally a 16) but it fits perfectly because it's a swing dress. It reminds me of a dress my Herione Kat Von D has worn recently. It also reminds of a nun's habit but way cooler and trendy lol. It was a little colder today so even though this dress is more wintery than summery I think I pulled it off. I've been shopping with my mum today which was lovely, she's been on holiday so I missed her loads! 

I'm getting tattooed tomorrow which is super exciting! I've got three days off in a row which is loads for me so I dunno what to do with myself! I think I'm going to tidy the house and get it in order. I hope you're all OK, thanks for stopping by x

Amazing Base.

I thought I'd do a post about my favourite makeup bases- from BB and CC Creams to full coverage foundations. I have oily skin with large pores; my skin becomes shiny as the day progresses but I do have some dryness on my forehead. I like bases with good coverage and a matte finish to combat my oiliness. I'm also fairly pale so I like foundations without orange or tan tones to them, usually opting for the lightest shade in most high street products. So which products do I love...

Rimmel Stay Matte BB Cream- this is great for 'no makeup' days when I just want a light coverage base, my eyebrows and mascara on and I'm good to go. It's got the kind of coverage you'd expect from a BB Cream so if my skins not the best I try and avoid this. It's great for oily skin because a lot of BB Creams are dewy but this one is deffo matte. I wear this in shade Very Light and I'd give it a 3/10 for coverage.

MaxFactor CC Cream- I'd say I prefer this to the Rimmel BB Cream to be honest! It's got a nice light coverage with a creamy matte finish. This feels more like a light foundation that a CC/BB Cream if that makes sense? I wear this in shade Fair and I'd give this a 5/10 for coverage.

No7 Stay Perfect Superlight Foundation- for me, this is the ideal in-between product of BB/CC creams and a full coverage foundation. As the name suggests, it's super light weight on the skin but as it's a foundation, it's got better coverage and lasts longer than a BB/CC Cream. This hasn't got a particularly matte finish, which for me is a downside, but this can be easily remedied by using pressed powder over it. I wear this in shade Callico and I'd give this a 6/10 for coverage. 

Urban Decay NAKED Skin Foundation- oh my love, I think this is my Holy Grail foundation. It looks so natural but it's got amazing coverage and a flawless finish! This isn't a matte foundation but it looks like a natural NAKED skin finish, hence the name of it. I hardly have to use any concealer with this and it's great for building up in specific places like under the eyes without feeling heavy. It lasts all day long and I don't have to touch it up. I wear this in shade 1.0 and I'd give this a 9/10 for coverage. LOVE! 

No7 Beautifully Matte Foundation- this is a foundation I keep coming back to time and time again. This gives a perfectly flawless matte finish that doesn't let shine through at all, even after hours of wear. It's the kind of foundation that never let's you down- dyou know what I meant? Again, this has great coverage, I wear it in shade Callico and I'd give it 9/10. 

Revlon Colorstay for Oily/Combination Skin- I regularly switch up between this and the No7 Beautifully Matte Foundation. I really like this one, I'd say this has the fullest coverage and it gives a really nice matte finish. However, if you've got any dryness STAY AWAY because it is unforgiving. I imagine a lot of people won't like this because it is mega full coverage but I personally don't find it heavy or cakey. I wear shade 150 Buff and I'd give it. 10/10 for full coverage.

No7 Vitality Eye Roll On.

No7 Beautiful Skin Vitality Eye Roll On (£6 in sale, Boots).

This was another one of my bargain-bin purchases from Boots. The world of eye creams is vast and difficult to find your way through if you don't want anything anti-ageing or mega expensive! I found this one and thought I'd give it a try. It comes in a nice and compact 15ml tube with simple packaging, making it look expensive. 

This is an iridescent thin gel that is applied through a trifector of metal roller balls that are cooling on the delicate eye area. I can honestly say that I am in love with this product. Never before have I felt strongly (either way) about an eye cream, I'm normally indifferent to these products. However, as I've been using this every day since I bought it and I've started noticing my eye bags becoming less dark and promenant. It's so soft and light on the skin, it doesn't feel at all greasy or heavy on the skin. I'm super impressed with this and I'm glad I decided to buy it! What's your fave eye cream? Payday Wishlist.

Oh Payday, you cannot come soon enough! I say this is a Payday Wishlist, but really it's more "what I would buy if I could spend money on myself" list! My better half is still out of work so I'm holding down the fort financially but it's still nice to dream! So what am I lusting after at the moment...

Helen Moore Vixen Scarf- at £68, it's not a cheap treat, but I think it's the kind of piece I'd have in my wardrobe for a long time. It comes in loads of colours but I particularly love the powder blue and the baby pink- both are perfect for SS14.

MAC Lipstick in Pink Plaid- I tried this on last time I went shopping with Dany we but they'd sold out- I was gutted! It looks like a stunning matte pink that I could wear everyday and it's not too pale. 

Chanel Perfection Lumiere Matte- I've read about this in the blogosphere and I want.want.want. It's supposed to be a matte light base which sounds right up my street!

Too Faced Melted Lipstick in Melted Violet- this simply looks divine, especially in this lilac shade!at £19, it's pretty expensive for a lippie but I think it might be worth it because it's such an unusual product.

The Perfume Tag.

Hello! This is a sneaky peaky to my perfume collection- I'm using this tag that I've seen floating around the blogosphere so I thought I'd do it right here, right now! Enjoy....

1. What was the first perfume you ever purchased?
I can't remember the first perfume I ever purchased but I remember the first one I ever owned was the Dolce & Gabana The One perfume which my parents bought me for my birthday one year. I still have it (it's the gold one in the pic above on the right) and I still love it! 

2. What's your signature perfume?
This is an easy one! My favourite ever perfume is the Ed Hardy Born Wild perfume. I'm going to bore you with the tail of my sorrowful loss of my favourite perfume (skip now if you don't care). Ed Hardy, as I've been told, went into liquidation so alas they won't be making my favouritist perfume anymore booooooooo. I've stocked up on it and I'm making myself ration it which is really difficult because I love it!

3. What's your most recent perfume purchase?
Welllllll last week I bought the Moschino Pink Bouqet (see below) because it was a bargain £20 in Superdrug for 100ml! I've fancied this perfume for ages but I rarely buy myself perfume as it's usually an expensive purchase! However, before buying this one is bought the Katy Perry Killer Queen Oh So Sheer (see below) because that was also £29 for 100ml in Superdrug! I'm such a sucker for packaging though, there's loads of perfumes that I've nearly bought because I like the bottle but then they smell gross! 

4. What perfume would you wear at night time/date night?
I usually rotate between my Nicky Minaj perfume as it's relatively inexpensive and smells super sweet, and the Katy Perry one. I don't particularly like either artists' music (I really don't like Katy a Perry tbh!) but I love their cheap and cheerful perfumes- they're great for everyday use. At night, I like to use my more expensive or 'special' perfumes like my D&G one, my Kat Von D one and the Vera Wang one. My Chanel Chance perfume is the one I wear for job interviews because I think it's sophisticated compared with my usual girlie choice of scent!

5. What's your favorite spring/summer perfume?
I'm not really seasonal with my perfume, I just wear what I like when I want to!

6. What's your favorite fall/winter perfume?

7. What's your favorite scent category? (fruity, floral, fresh, oriental, woody)
Fruity for sure! I'm way to unsophisticated for anything floral or woody! Lol. 

8. What perfume are you currently lusting after?
Oh this is an easy one! ATM I'm lusting after Giorgio Armarni Si. A couple of people I work with wear it and it smells divine! It's so expensive but I might ask for it for my birthday hehe. 

9. What fragrance/cologne do you like on your significant other?
This might sound weird but I'm really not bothered whether my fella wears cologne or not. I find too much scent on a man a bit overwhelming and makes me think they're trying too hard tbh.

Urban Decay NAKED3 Palette.

Urban Decay NAKED3 Palette (£37, Debenhams).

I know the world and his wife have reviewed this palette already so I'm not going to go into too much detail but I still wanna share my love for this palette. I already have the original NAKED palette which is a beautiful mix of warm golden browns; the NAKED3 has stunning Rose gold shades within the nude spectrum. It contains two matte shades and some glitter, the rest are metallic. My fave shades have to be Limit and Blackheart. As always with Urban Decay, the eyeshadows are super pigmented and a little goes a long way. I'm totally in love with this palette and I've been using it loads since I bought it, creating both daytime and nighttime looks. Which is your favourite NAKED? Thanks for stopping by x

Urban Decay B6 Prep Spray.

Urban Decay B6 Vitamin-Infused Complexion Prep Spray (£21.50, Debenhams).

I didn't needs this, I fact I didn't even know that this existed or that I would ever need it. That's the power of a good salesperson I guess! When I went to the Urban Decay event the makeup artists used this in their demonstration and it just looked ace. I love the packaging of this product- the bottle has got that rubbery matte texture that some high end products have. 

The premise is that this spray acts in the place of a serum to prepare your skin for applying makeup. Compared with some makeup setting sprays I've used, this is very much a fine mist- I can hardly feel it going onto my skin it's so gentle! I spritz 3-4 times over my face before applying my moisturiser and makeup on clean skin. It doesn't make my skin feel damp or greasy at all; it just leaves it feeling soft and matte. The packaging makes some pretty impressive claims but I can't really say I've been noticing long-term skin benefits from using this. I find that it makes my makeup last a little longer and better though. You get 118ml in this bottle which, although it's mega expensive, is a really decent amount considering you only use a few spritzes each time. No7 Exquisite Curl Mascara.

No7 Exquisite Curl Mascara (£5 in sale, Boots).

I'm still loving my beloved L'oreal Miss Manga Mascara but when I saw this in the sale I thought I'd give it a go. I'm loving the metallic pink mirrored packaging of this mascara, I think it's unusual and super pretty. They promote Exquisite Curl "for beautiful curl and volume"neither it's curved brush wand. I've always thought this was a bit of a gimic and I've never really gone for it but I do like this brush. It is perfectly curved for my eye shape- it matches my lash line perfectly. I also love that it's a proper bristle brush not a plastic comb or rubber spiky thing- bug barer! 

This mascara perfectly separates, curls and lengthens my lashes to give a wide eyed but natural look. I've been loving wearing this on a day-to-day basis, it's perfect for wearing for work because it's not too OTT. It won't ever replace the Miss Manga Mascara for me as it doesn't give any thickness or drama but it's a great everyday mascara. It's also super easy to remove with my Garnier Micellar Water. Real Techniques Blush and Powder Brushes.

Real Techniques Powder Brush (£10.99) and Blush Brush (£9.99) from Superdrug (currently buy one get one half price).

I've been wanting a new blusher brush for a while as I've realised that using my Real Techniques Contouring Brush isn't ideal (it's great for contouring though- duhhh). When I saw these bad boys were on offer in Superdrug I took my chance. All Real Techniques brushes are amazing quality- they're super soft and hold they're shape even after hundreds of washes. They're super user friendly and I honestly think they're the best brushes around.

The Blush Brush is a nice change from the typical angled blusher brushes you find on the high street. This is perfectly shaped for applying product to the apples of your cheeks. It's super soft in terms of both it's hairs and the shape of it. The Powder Brush is my fave of the two! It's super densely packed so it's perfect for packing on powder all over the face, but again the hairs are soft so it's not offensive or bristly. Buying these two brushes has further cemented my love for Real Techniques and I can wait til they launch more brushes that I can buy! What's you're fave RT brush? MAC Heroine.

MAC Lipstick in Heroine (£15, MAC).

It took me a while but I finally got hold of Herione a few weeks back. I'm currently obsessed with purple and lilac lipsticks with a growing collection of weird and unusual shades, I had to add Heroine into the mix. Heroine is a stunning true purple with raspberry undertones. This is my first ever MAC Matte finish lipstick and I have to say I am impressed! It's just as creamy and moisturising as their other formulas but I would say that this Matte finish has the best staying power of all the MAC lippies. As you can see, Heroine is a pretty daring shade to wear and it certainly won't be for everyone! I would say it's just as vampy as it is glam and I just love it! I've been wearing it with a simple eye look (eyeliner and mascara only) to make it stand out. It's definitely one for the brave among us but I'd deffo recommend it! Do you dare to wear Heroine?
