I've bought so many mascaras over the past few months it's not even funny. And the thing is, I've loved all of them so why I keep feeling the need to try new ones is beyond me! I'm such a sucker for a new launch so I bought this new SEVENTEEN Falsifeye HD Mascara in Blackest Black. Normally I hate comb style mascaras- I find them spikey and stabby so using them isn't a pleasent experience in my books. So Lord knows why I bought this...but I'm glad I did. 

Going with the whole 'false lash effect' theme, SEVENTEEN have jumped on the mascara band wagon and make serious claims about this bad boy. Honestly, it was the before and after photo of someone's eyes on the box that did it for me. Oh. wow. I like the packaging- it's fun and youthful as this brand are in general. The brush itself is like a plasticy comb type thing with different length spikes to capture all your eyelashes. The first thing I noticed is that this is seriously black; secondly it separates my lashes amazingly. I'd say that was the number one feature of this mascara- it's not at all clumpy and it separates each individual lash and fans them all out. It adds length and volume without making you look like a drag act. Unfortunately, I like my lashes to look like a drag queen's. It is really buildable but It does take a while to get it looking like the picture on the packaging. My main negative is that no matter how much I clean my eyes, I can never 100% get rid of this mascara! I keep waking up with panda eyes grrrrrrr. Overall, I'd probs give this a 6/10 but it's great if you like a more natural look in my opinion. I hope you're all OK- thanks for stopping by x

No7 Exquisite Curl Mascara.

No7 Exquisite Curl Mascara (£5 in sale, Boots).

I'm still loving my beloved L'oreal Miss Manga Mascara but when I saw this in the sale I thought I'd give it a go. I'm loving the metallic pink mirrored packaging of this mascara, I think it's unusual and super pretty. They promote Exquisite Curl "for beautiful curl and volume"neither it's curved brush wand. I've always thought this was a bit of a gimic and I've never really gone for it but I do like this brush. It is perfectly curved for my eye shape- it matches my lash line perfectly. I also love that it's a proper bristle brush not a plastic comb or rubber spiky thing- bug barer! 

This mascara perfectly separates, curls and lengthens my lashes to give a wide eyed but natural look. I've been loving wearing this on a day-to-day basis, it's perfect for wearing for work because it's not too OTT. It won't ever replace the Miss Manga Mascara for me as it doesn't give any thickness or drama but it's a great everyday mascara. It's also super easy to remove with my Garnier Micellar Water. L'oreal Miss Manga Mascara.

So I totally fell for the packaging and branding of this product. I've always been a fan of manga art and spent my teenage years churning out manga cartoons whilst listening to metal. The new L'oreal Miss Manga mascara promises to give volume on both top and bottom lashes making your eyes look wide open- just like a manga character. I'm not usually a fan of L'oreal makeup, I think it's a bit too "sensible" a brand for me, does anyone else find that? 

Anyway, where was I. Wowsers I love the packaging on this mascara- black combined with a foiled pink lid? Love it! The brush is a proper bristle brush, none of this plastic comb malarkey for me thanks! The brush itself tapers down to a thin end, perfect for applying product to your bottom lashes. The brush is on a flexy hinge- I've never really understood the purpose of this I just think it's a gimic myself. This mascara is AMAZING! It makes my lashes so thick and long and spidery without being at all dry or flakey. It grabs every single lash; this mascara won't give you a natural look in anyway, it's totally dramatic and over the top. It makes my eyes look even huger-er (not a real word) than they already are. Clinique High Impact Extreme Volume Mascara.

Clinique High Impact Extreme Volume Mascara (£17).

I've had this mascara for a good 3 or 4months now but haven't got round to reviewing it- oops. I first tried this in store at a Clinique counter when having a skin consultation/makeup trial. I love the packaging of this product- the silver tube really stands out in my makeup bag and looks really high-end. I'm typically a fan of super fat bristle brushes and say away from comb-like plastic brushes. I think the reason why this brush works for me is because the bristles are rubbery and flexible so unlike comb brushes, they're not stiff or harsh.

This is literally a wow product for me. After one coat my lashes look ridiculously long, curled and blacker than black. Naturally, I have mousey coloured lashes that are fairly long but very straight. This mascara coats and separates every single lash making them look longer, more voluminous and super thick. It gives me that false lash look without the hassle or the glue! I thought I'd hit the jackpot when I'd discovered Soap & Glory's Thick and Fast mascara but I must say that this is even better! I know it's pricey for a mascara but so far, it's lasting me well and I think it's worth it. I don't find it any more difficult to remove than any of my other mascaras, using just a standard eye makeup remover. Defi Italy a thumbs up from me!

In a nutshell: The best mascara ever, no exaggeration! If you want long, thick, black lashes then look no further!

Maybelline Mega Plush Volum' Express Mascara.

Although Soap & Glory Thick & Fast Mascara is my favourite mascara of all times, I go through phases of trying other mascaras out. I went through a period of using the Maybelline Colossal Volum' Express Smoky Eyes Mascara which I remember liking, but not being blown away by it. However, when I saw this teal and pink packaging and super bristley brush, I was lured in once again! 

The USP (unique selling point) of this particular incarnation of the Volum' Express mascara is that the Mega Plush formula is their first ever Gel Mousse Mascara which gives volume without being hard or stiff. It also has a flexibrush- basically the brush joins the wand via a rubber joint (think of it like a flexi elbow) giving greater flexibility and control. I think this foundation does exactly what it says on the tin: it gives the lashes a flexible holding coverage which doesn't flake, harden or dry-out the lashes. It's super easy to apply with the large bristle brush and flexibrush and it's also really easy to remove with your everyday eye makeup remover. 

I've found that this mascara makes my lashes look longer and more curled but I don't find it particularly volumising. I've actually been wearing this for work as it doesn't irritate my eyes or make them feel heavy as the day goes on. Also, it gives a wide-eyed look without making me look like I'm wearing false lashes or I'm ready to party. All-in-all, it's a great everyday mascara and well worth a try.

In a nutshell: Super soft non-drying mascara with a crazy bendy brush which gives a super lengthened wide-eyed look.

Along Came Betty Wow! Mascara.

So when I stumbled across Along Came Betty in Tescos the other week, I bought the Pure Pore Mask (you can see my review here), the Wow! Lashes Mascara and an eyeshadow quad that I've actually been using as a brow kit (review coming soon!).  I was more than happy with my beloved Soap & Glory Thick & Fast Mascara but when I saw the size of the brush on this mascara, I just couldn't resist! 

As with the Pure Pore Mask, the packaging of Along Came Betty products are very Soap & Glory-esque with the black and white 60's style photographs, pink girly writing and not-so-serious names, which usualy contain a pun or double-entendre. I love the film-reel imagery on the box with the 60's style lady applying her mascara! The tube itself is really quite chunky which I personally quite like but I guess it is a little unusual. Just look at the size of that brush! It's a bristle style brush, none of this rubber or comb malarky for me thank you! The mascara itself is really easy to apply- it's much thinner than the S&G mascara which is more thickening, whereas the Along Came Betty number is more lengthening and volumising. It definitely gives a more natural mascara look whilst providing that length and blackness. It doesn't transfer at all- one of my pet peeves- and it is really easy to remove with makeup wipes or cotton pads. Overall, I really like this mascara and think it's got a pretty competitive price- I'd say it's better than most other high-street mascaras that I've tried. 

In a nutshell: This lengthening and volumising mascara definitely gives you WOW lashes without clumping or transfering. 

Maybelline Colossal Volum' Express Smoky Eyes Mascara.

After finishing my beloved Soap & Glory Thick & Fast mascara and some Chanel sample mascaras I decided to take the plunge and give another mascara a go. This was on offer in Tesco for £6 so I thought I'd check it out- I've never used a Maybelline mascara before but my mum uses the Colossal Flasies one (she literally only wears mascara) and likes it. Can I just comment on what an insanely long name this mascara has?! That's what you get when you re-hash the same mascara 8million times Maybelline! I actually quite like the yellow packaging with the smoky pattern on the lid. I've said before that I only like mascara brushes with actual bristles rather than plastic combs or rubbery nodules. I was impressed by the size and shape of the brush on this mascara as it is similar to some of my favourite mascaras. 

The formula of this mascara is quite thin compared to the Thick & Fast mascara. The brush separates and coats the lashes well with the main benefit of lengthening the lashes. I like a mascara to give me length, fullness and definition of the lashes; unfortunately, this mascara only gives length leaving my lashes looking quite thin. I'd say, for my tastes, this mascara is great for a more 'natural' or work look but I'll be sticking to the S&G mascara for my everyday, false-lash look. Have you tried any Maybelline mascaras?
