I will admit, I bought this by accident, oops. I thought I was picking up a new Rimmel eyeliner but this was on the stand- but I'm so glad it was! This is a chunky, thick angled eyeliner that is amazing to use. I really like the monochrome packaging it doesn't need to be anything fancy for an eyeliner. This has to be the easiest eyeliner to use...ever. I would so recommend this for beginners because it basically does all the work for you. The formula of the liner is nice and black but isn't so wet that you get transfer on the crease of your eyes. There's not much more I could say about this other than I'd totally recommend it! Maybelline Color Drama Lipstick.

Maybelline Color Drama Lipstick in Nude Perfection (£4.99, Boots and Superdrug).

The makeup world has become obsessed with Kylie Kardashian's 90s nude overdrawn lips and they've become somewhat of a makeup Holy Grail. She reportedly uses a MAC combo of a lip pencil in Soar and lipstick in Velvet Teddy- but I've found the one that works for me! Moving on from the chubby stick generation of lip products- which has been done to death- pencil crayons seem to be the new in thing. 

Maybelline Color Drama Lipsticks are really simply packaged- which is a bt underwhelming and initially led to me giving them a miss when I first saw them. However, this lippy is definitely a case for 'substance over style' which is more than fine by me! The matte creamy formula is amazingly hydrating without being glossy or wet. The best thing about this product? It lasts allllllllll day long! Seriously, this has some staying power my friends. Nude Perfection is one of ten shades available in this product- as you can see from the lip swatch, it's a lovely peachy nude that's very 90s and subsequently is very now. I love this product and can't believe it passed me by! Mini Makeup Haul.

The months of September and October are a time for big makeup launches as we enter the AW season. Some of these new launches I've been keeping my eyes open for whereas others I just stumbled upon. So here's what I got...

Collection Big Fake Curves Mascara (£4.99, Superdrug)- I totally didn't need this but the brush was so unusual I couldn't resist!

Topshop The Foundation (£16, Topshop)- so for those of you living under a rock, Topshop have launched a new face collection within their amazing makeup range. It comes in a really limited shade range but they've got a pipet applicator and glass bottle. 

Rimmel Provocalips (£6.99, Superdrug)- the promise of long lasting colour with a moisturising finish was too much to resist so I bought two shades!

Maybelline Master Graphic Eyeliner (£5.99, Superdrug)- I totally bought this thinking it was a new Rimmel launch because it was displayed on the Rimmel concession stand but clearrrllllyyyy it's Maybelline. Oh well.

Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Fatigue Blur.

Maybelline Baby Skin instant Fatigue Blur in Cool Rose (£7.99, Boots).

As a fan of the original Maybelline Baby Skin primer- it smoothed over pores and gave a lovely base for makeup. But look at this! Maybelline have launched two new Baby Skin primers in shades Warm Apricot and Cool Rose; I chose Cool Rose with it's pink tinge as I have pink undertones to my skin. I find this to feel lighter on the skin than the original Baby Skin as it's got more of a light moisturiser consistency rather than a gel-like clear primer consistency. I love how this makes my skin look and I'm not quite sure how it does it! It smooths over pores and blurs them into the background. It gives my skin a wonderfully soft feel and even look giving an amazing base for my makeup to sit on. It's strange because it does make my skin look radiant without a hint of shimmer or highlighter-ness in sight! As a side note I love the packaging and think it's super pretty and girly! Maybelline Matte Maker Powder.

Maybelline Matte Maker in Classic Ivory (£3.99, Boots and Superdrug).

I love using MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural to set and mattify my foundations. However, I often need some powder for touch ups on the go and usually use Rimmel Stay Matte but I'm not a mega fan of it to be honest! I saw this new Maybelline powder and despite not hearing much about it in the blogosphere, I decided to give it a try! 

I like the simple black packaging and the screw on lid keeps everything nice and clean. The powder itself gives good coverage and colour. Classic Ivory is a lovely shade for fair skin without any sign of yellow or orange tones. I use it throughout the day to combat shine mostly on my nose and chin, I apply it with a makeup powder puff/pad (what the hell are they called?!). This gives a fairly full coverage which I like but I know it won't be to everyone's taste! Overall, I really like this and it instantly replaced the Rimmel Stay Matte powder- I'd give this a try if I were you! Thanks for stopping by x

This is my makeup haul from last week. I spent wayyyyy too much money and it's left me a bit on my arse money-wise but at least I'll look good right? It's a bit of a mix between bargain high street and everything else is Urban Decay after having my makeup done. My love for the Revlon Colorbursts is still going strong so I picked up another two- one Lacquer and one Matte both in stunning bright pink shades. I also bought one of the Rita Ora for Rimmel Colour Rush lip crayons in a nice plum shade. I love how easy these products are to apply and think they last a lot better than some lipsticks I own! 

I finally got my hands on the Rimmel Matte BB Cream in Very Light after loving it in Light but it being a bit dark for my skin tone. I also picked up the Maybelline Matte Maker for a bargain £3.99- it's a product I've not even heard of but seems right up my street. I thought this Barry M Brow Pen was a great time saving idea as it creates instant definition. I've seen loads of bloggers talk about the Topshop Powder blushers and I fell for the baby pink Good Girl, it's perfect for Spring!

I've gone Urban Decay obsessed! I found the Shattered Face Case by chance when my chum Dany was buying the NAKED3 palette. According to the lovely makeup artist, it was limited edition for Christmas in America and they've sent all the unsold products over to the UK. I fell in love- it contains five eyeshadows, two blushers, a highlighter, eyeliner and lip product all in one nifty case! When I had my makeup done, she used the NAKED Skin Beauty Balm and Foundation and my skin looked f-l-a-w-l-e-s-s! I'm so impressed with the products I cannot tell you! Loving Lilac Lipsticks.

Lilac lipsticks: MAC Lavendar Whip (creamsheen); Illamasqua lipstick in Posture; Maybelline Color Whisper in Oh La Lilac; Topshop lipstick in On The Town.

My new obsession is with purple and lilac lips- probably because I've got lilac ombré hair and also I like being a bit different! I've currently got four lilac lipsticks but they're all very different and unique. MAC Lavendar Whip (from the Baking Beauties collection last year) is a super creamy pinky lilac that you can wear either quite sheer or build up so it's bolder. It's a super pretty lilac and I think you can get away with wearing this on a day to day basis. On the other end of the scale however, is Illamasqua lippie in Posture. this is the most beautiful matte mauvey Lavendar ever! It's actually my fave lipstick at the moment! It's deffo not for the faint hearted but I love how bold and unusual it is and the formula is super creamy considering it's a matte finish.

I got some Maybelline Color Whispers off eBAy from America after seeing loads of US bloggers raving about them. In my opinion, they're more pigmented versions of the Revlon Lip Butters and L'oreal Rouge Caresses. The Topshop lilac On The Town is much more of a floro-bright pinky lilac. I guess from the swatches this looks like the truest lilac of the four in my collection. Send any lilac lippy recommendations my way, they'd be much appreciated to satiate my current obsession! I can't believe how quickly this has flown off the shelves since it launched, it's pretty much been sold out everywhere! I've read a lot of blog reviews calling this the high street version of the Benefit Porefessional Primer. I'm personally not a mega fan of the Benefit Porefessional- I do like it but I find that towards the end of the day it thins out my makeup and the shine begins to come through. 

So what about Baby Skin? Well I love the teal and pink packaging and tubes are always my favourite kind of packaging for ease of use and minimal waste. Maybelline Baby Skin is a clear gel-like product that glides onto the skin and is easily absorbed. I find that it blurs my pores, making my foundation go further and last longer throughout the day. It helps to keep my oily skin at bay along with my favourite face products. I've been using this everyday and can understand why it's so popular! Have you tried Baby Skin yet? August Beauty Favourites.

This is my first makeup/beauty favourites in agesssss! I bought a few new things that I'm loving in the past week but I thought it wasn't fair to put them in my August faves so stay tuned for next month! I feel like a bit of an arse because I haven't got round to posting reviews of a couple of these items yet but they have been written, waiting to be posted over the next few days! 

When I was on holiday, I used the Maybelline Stick Foundation everyday and liked the light-weight coverage that it gave my skin. However, on returning to normal everyday life I've found that it doesn't quite cut it for me. I work 12hour shifts most days (or nights as is currently the case) so I need a foundation to last me around 14hours but this just doesn't do it for me. Having said all that, I really like wearing it when I'm not in work and I only need my makeup to last a few hours as it feels really light and breathable compared to some of my more heavy duty foundations. 

I'm still loving the Clinique serum for reducing the appearance and size of my pores and making my skin feel super smooth. I'm pretty much wearing this Bourjois cream blusher every day- I love the formula and how blendable it is. Makeup Mini Haul.

This is a mini makeup haul for y'all. I couldn't stop myself from getting my hands on these new launches from Rimmel! The Stay Matte foundation is obviously right up my street and when I switched it on my hand it was super mousse-like and air whipped which is exciting. I also spied the newest of new (not even on the Rimmel, Superdrug or Boots websites yet new!) Rimmel Colour Rush lip products. They're styled just like the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balmstains which I am a massive fan of and when I swatched Give Me A Cuddle I fell in love- it's a super pretty coral baby pink type colour that I've never seen before. I also decided to give this Maybelline Brow gel a go because I've only ever used clear gels before so watch this space.

I've been super sad since my return from holiday because I've lost my MAC lipstick in Rebel and I simply couldn't wait any longer so I had to replace it- though I'm gutted that the prices have gone up again! I thought I'd dip my toe in the water of illuminators recently and bought Avon's new launch. It's a super pretty liquid shimmer fest and I can't wait to get it on my kite! So, I'm sorry I've been AWOL this week guys- I've been on my jollies in South Wales and wasn't anticipating the cottage to be quite so remote. I literally had to sit in the corner of the living room for a chance to get on the Internet and phone signal was none existent. I feel a bit disorganised having not unpacked yet but I thought I'd show you what's been on my face recently and whilst I've been away. 

I will admit that I've not used most of the colours in this palette but I use the purple shade to fill in my eyebrows (fifth one along the bottom row) as its the perfect shade to compliment my dyed purple hair. That reminds me, I need to do a post about my lilac ombre hair! I've been loving the speed and ease of using the new Maybelline Fit Me foundation stick- I love the smooth, powder-like finish and it's super buildable. This teamed with MAC concealer and powder leave me with a flawless matte finish that lasts the day. 

I've been keeping my eyes and lips pretty natural at the minute just doing my standard cat-flick eyeliner and trying to keep my lips hydrated. But this mascara, oh me, oh my. Subtle this is not: this is the biggest, blackest, boldest mascara ever ever ever! I need to do a proper review with before and after photos so bare with me but I love this! Maybelline Fit Me Anti-Shine Stick.

Maybelline Fit Me Anti-Shine Stick in 115 Ivory (£8.99 from Boots).

Anti-shine, panstick style foundation? Yes please! This premise seems new to the makeup high street but actually harks back to my Gran's youth where pansticks were the face makeup of choice. I love the packaging of this product- I think it highlights the compactness of the product and how easy it is to travel with. The product has a creamy coloured foundation stick with an anti-shine gel inner core and is available in six different shades. 

I actually really like the formula. It's like nothing else that I've used before- is so much more than a mousse-to-powder foundation. On first swatch, it looks and feels like a light liquid foundation but when you begin to blend it, it becomes a powdery, soft blendable dream! I will say that the lightest shade of Ivory isn't that pale at all, I find it to have a slight orange tinge to it myself, although it isn't mega noticeable on my skin tone, I imagine it would be on a paler, perhaps red head complexion. I've read some blog reviews that suggest that the stick gives a dewy finish but I don't find that at all; in fact, I find it to be very matte in finish. I'd describe this as a light coverage foundation but I find that using a powder over the top adds an adequate level of coverage. I think this might be a product that divides opinions amongst bloggers but I personally like it. 

In a nutshell: it's super easy to use, with light weight feeling and coverage. Does what it says on the tube.

Maybelline Mega Plush Volum' Express Mascara.

Although Soap & Glory Thick & Fast Mascara is my favourite mascara of all times, I go through phases of trying other mascaras out. I went through a period of using the Maybelline Colossal Volum' Express Smoky Eyes Mascara which I remember liking, but not being blown away by it. However, when I saw this teal and pink packaging and super bristley brush, I was lured in once again! 

The USP (unique selling point) of this particular incarnation of the Volum' Express mascara is that the Mega Plush formula is their first ever Gel Mousse Mascara which gives volume without being hard or stiff. It also has a flexibrush- basically the brush joins the wand via a rubber joint (think of it like a flexi elbow) giving greater flexibility and control. I think this foundation does exactly what it says on the tin: it gives the lashes a flexible holding coverage which doesn't flake, harden or dry-out the lashes. It's super easy to apply with the large bristle brush and flexibrush and it's also really easy to remove with your everyday eye makeup remover. 

I've found that this mascara makes my lashes look longer and more curled but I don't find it particularly volumising. I've actually been wearing this for work as it doesn't irritate my eyes or make them feel heavy as the day goes on. Also, it gives a wide-eyed look without making me look like I'm wearing false lashes or I'm ready to party. All-in-all, it's a great everyday mascara and well worth a try.

In a nutshell: Super soft non-drying mascara with a crazy bendy brush which gives a super lengthened wide-eyed look.

Mini Makeup Haul.

No7 BB Lips in Blink Pink; Maybelline Volum Express Mega Plush Mascara; Bourjois Cream Blush in 03; No7 Beautifully Matte Foundation in Callico.

As small haul for y'all now. In Boots, No7 makeup is on 'buy one get one half price' so I got involved buying more of my favourite foundation ever, Beautifully Matte (review here) and then I decided to try their new BB Lips lipgloss/balm hybrid. Then I sauntered into Superdrug and found all their makeup was on 3for2 and they had three new mega launches that weren't even in Boots yet! I went for the new Maybelline Mega Plush mascara as the super big brush looks amazing and I also got one of the new Bourjois Cream Blushes which I've been waiting to try since they first appeared on the interweb a few months ago! My mum got the new Rimmel Scandaleyes Lycra mascara which is in a super awesome lime-green packaging! It's that time of year when brands start to release they're new Summer products so I'm sure this is going to be one makeup haul of many! Thanks for stopping by x

Maybelline Master Precise Eyeliner.

Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner (£5.99 from Superdrug).

Maybelline is definitely a brand I've fallen in love with recently. I love the packaging of their products, and this eyeliner is no exception. I like how the handwritten-style white text stands out against the sleek black packaging; but I imagine the writing will rub off in a couple of months time. Although I love using my Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner (longest name ever), I've recently found that as my lil pot comes to it's twilight years it's not going on as smoothly or precisely as it once was. Cue my purchase of Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner. Now, typically I'm not a fan of the felt-tip style liquid eyeliner as I favour the minuscule brush; however, when I swatched this it seemed so precise and intense I just had to give it a try. I find that the super pointy fine nib enables me to make really precise (hence the name) marks on my lids and creating a feline flick is a breeze. 

I sometimes find that liquid eyeliners can be drying and flaky but this one is super smooth and stays put all day long. Having said that, it is super easy to remove with makeup wipes or eye makeup remover. My main worry about pen-style liquid eyeliners is that they'll dry out really quickly. Obviously I can't tell you how long it will last as I've only been using it just over a week but I will let you know as soon as I know! I think it's definitely worth a go for £5.99, especially if you're an eyeliner fiend like myself. Let me know what your favourite liquid eyeliner is ladies!

My February Favourites are all makeup items as I've been trying out so many different products with new year/season launches coming thick and fast. Ever since I bought it I've not stopped wearing the Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation. In principle, this shouldn't be a foundation I'd like with it's light/medium coverage and natural finish (I'm typically a matte full coverage kind of girl) but I just love it. It's so easy and natural and the colour is stunning. I've also been loving my American Maybelline Color Whispers, they're so moisturising and easy to wear- they're perfect for every day wear. I fell inlove with the new Chanel nail varnish as soon as I saw it; I love the bright coral pink and I love Chanel in general so it was a win win for me. 

Rimmel Stay Matte has made a home inside my handbag, it's great for touch ups on the go. Finally, my Rimmel Apocalips; since my original review post, I've purchased Nude Eclipse which is just the most wearable nude lip product I've ever owned. I love how long lasting, pigmented and bright they all are- my personal fave is the hot pink Apocaliptic, I've definitely been getting my wear out of that one! Maybelline Color Whispers.

Maybelline Color Whisper in Pin Up Peach and Lust For Blush ($7.49 in USA, purchased from ebay).

OK, so it's a tad mean of me to review a product that isn't even available in UK but I purchased them myself off ebay UK from this wonderful seller. So these are Maybelline's answer to the much loved Revlon Lip Butters and L'oreal Rouge Caresses, of which I love the latter and dislike the former. The packaging is very similar to the Lip Butters, but I love the semi-opaque coloured lids with the silver sleek writing on the outside. Maybelline claim that their Color Whispers are 'pure colour pigments suspended in a weightless gel'- so effectively they're coloured balms like their competitors. I went for shades Lust For Blush and Pin Up Peach based on some US bloggers' swatches. I went for these two as I thought they'd be suer wearable shades, and I was right. 

Pin Up Peach looks like a really bright coral in the bullet but on the lips it is a stunning deep peach. Lust For Blush is a beautiful blue-toned light pink which reminds me of Topshop Lipstick in Innocent. The formula of the Color Whisper is unreal- it is so soft and smooth and moisturising, I'd most liken it to the L'oreal Rouge Caresses but I personally think these are softer and smoother. These lipstick balms are really pigmented and have a great colour pay-off. The wear time isn't stupendous but I wouldn't expect a balm-type product to wear much longer than 2-3 hours. Besides, the product has a really nice scent which reminds me of chocolate orange so why wouldn't you want to reapply them all the time?! I've swatched them below so you can check out the colours. Of the two, I love Lust For Blush the most but I must say I love both shades! I want to get hold of some more of these bad boys, I fancy trying Berry Ready and A Plum Prospect next! They end up working out at just over £5, plus P&P, from this seller which is cheaper than they'll ever be if they come over to the UK. 

In a nutshell: I love these lip products- great formula, colour pay-off and shade range. Unfortunately, they're only currently available in the US. But I am officially inlove.

So I had a couple of days off in the week last week (not sick, I work shifts so Saturday/Sunday weekends don't exist for me) and I spent most of it trawling the internet, lusting after products from across the pond. It really annoys me how brands sold in both UK and USA sell completely different products, or when products come out 6months earlier in US than in UK and then we don't get all the shades in the end anyway (Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balmstains I'm looking at you). So here's my mini wishlist from the land of the brave. 

1. Revlon Colorstay Seude Lipstick- I've not seen anything about these on the blogosphere and I do follow a fair few American bloggers. But I like the look of these- they're meant to be balm-infused lipsticks for strong colour pay-off with lip care built in. I'd like to think of them as grown-up lip butters as I find them a bit shimmery and wishy-washy for my tastes. From the swatches I've seen, these Colorstay Suede Lipsticks look like they're super wearable with great colour pay-off. These retail for $8.49 in Target. 

2. Kat Von D Everlasting Blush- Kat Von D makeup in general is the main thing I wish was sold in UK. I do own two of the eyeshadow palettes and some of the lipsticks but I want it all man! I've just seen that she's launched some blushers and me-oh-my the shades look stunning. I love the packaging of all of Kat's makeup but this blusher looks particularly amazing. If anyone fancies buying me the shade Por Vida, then you go right ahead. This blush costs $25 from Sephora.

3. e.l.f Long Lasting Lustrous Eyeshadow- This is another case in point of a brand sold in the UK but with different products available in the US. This looks like it could be a dupe for the amazing Chanel Illusion D'ombre eyeshadows. I'm loving the look of shades Gala and Soiree in particular. Hopefully these will be available in UK soon! These are a bargainous $3 from e.l.f. 

4. Maybelline Color Whisper Lipstick- These are Maybelline's answer to the Revlon Lip Butters and L'oreal Rouge Caresses. I've actually just ordered two of these off ebay (UK from an American seller). From reviews I've seen online, these look amazing and they seem to have the best colour pay-off of the lot! If and when these hit the UK, I can assure you I will be buying most, if not all, of the shades. I love that they're not shimmery or glittery like the Lip Butters seem to be. They retail at $5.49 in Target.

5. Maybelline Baby Lips- Every UK blogger I know wants to get a load of these bad boys. I've searched on UK ebay and I've found Thai sellers and American sellers but the shade/flavour range seems to be different but very similar (the Thai sellers are cheaper for anyone interested). Essentially, these are flavoured lip balms with a hint of colour and SPF20. I'd love to try Peach Kiss (love the lilac packaging) and Grape Vine. They retail for $2.97 in Walmart.

6. Benefit World Famous Neutrals Palettes- I've already posted about these because I'm super mesmerised by them already! I sincerely hope these come out in UK because I can't wait to get my hands on them. I'm actually bidding for one of them on ebay atm so fingers crossed! I'm most excited about the Easiest Nudes Ever and Sexiest Nudes Ever palettes (I could take or leave the Most Glamorous Nudes palette). I love the packaging, the combo of cream and powder shadows and the shade range. Perfect. These cost $30 from Sephora.
