All I need to see are the words 'pore minimiser' on a product and it goes straight into my basket. Being an oily skinned dame, I struggle with big open pores- especially on my nose and chin; and they get clogged up so quickly. Olay isn't a Skincare brand that I buy from because most of their products are focused around anti-ageing benefits. It's a little on the pricey side for my usual Skincare tastes but I bought it on offer in Superdrug for £9.99. 

This CC Cream is available in three shades- fair to light, light to medium and medium to dark; I went for the lightest shade which perfectly compliments my pale complexion. This product makes big claims friends: evens skin tone appearance; minimises the look of pores; enhances brightness; visibly smooths fine lines and wrinkles; reduces the look of spots; hydrates for a firm look; replenishes moisture. I'd definitely agree that this CC Cream covers and minimises the appearance of pores and evens out the colour of your skin. It gives a super light coverage but provides a stunning base for your makeup. I really like the way this product smells- is that weird?- it smells quite fruity and fresh. It's got a light air whipped texture that feels like a moisturiser on application. It's also got SPF15 which is a great bonus for the skin. I'd deffo recommend this and I continue to enjoy using it! I have no idea why I bought this moisturiser but I did! I'm a fan of the L'oreal Skin Perfection range as I find the products both hydrating and give coverage to my imperfections. "Instantly targets dullness, refines skin texture and pores, 24hour moisture kick, with SPF 20"

I'm gonna admit something that's embarrassing now- I totally didn't realise this product changed colour on contact with your skin...and I've been using it for a few weeks now. Ooops! This has a light liquid texture similar to a runny sun cream. The initially white product transforms into a light flesh tone on contact with the skin- this is the 'anti-fatigue' effect that this product promises. It instantly makes your skin look bright and awake, smoothing over pores and redness. I feel like is is more of a primer than a hydrating moisturiser so I'd still suggest using a moisturiser beneath this if you have any sort of dryness to your skin. I think this is a nice product though, especially if you've got dull, tired looking skin. Thanks for stopping by x

I've been using this for agesssss why haven't I reviewed this?! I'm so lazy when it comes to taking off my makeup- I'm not gonna lie at least 50% of the time I remove my makeup using Micellar water and eye makeup remover on cotton pads. However, the other 50% of the time, including every time I shower I use this bad boy. Through the blogosphere, I've heard of the Yes To range of products namely the Yes To Carrots Makeup Wipes but I didn't realise there were different fruit and veg ranges within the brand! 

The Yes To Tomatoes end of the range is aimed at combination skin as tomatoes, apparently, are a natural source of antioxidants. The Daily Clarifying Cleanser also contains Watermelon which is a nourishing fruit extract. The tube packaging is perfect for dispensary control and it looks really nice too- bonus. The cleanser itself is a thin gel like consistency which foams up like a dream when you apply it to your face. It leaves my skin feeling incredibly soft and clean with my pores unclogged and yet-zone mattified. I'm totally a fan of this cleanser and I'd deffo recommend it for oily skinned girls. L'oreal Skin Perfection Duo.

L'oreal Paris Skin Perfection Correcting Day Moisturiser and Magic Touch Instant Blur (£PRICES, from Tesco).

I didn't need new Skincare products but me being me, I bought some! The truth is, I got some Clubcard vouchers from Tesco and decided to purchase these two products a couple of weeks ago with them when they were on offer. I've got oily skin but I've found recently that using a complete Skincare routine tailored for oily skin has ended up leaving my skin dry and dehydrated, especially on my forehead. The L'oreal Skin Perfection range is aimed at the 20-35 age group so it's pre-anti-ageing. It's ine of my bug-bares that there isn't much in the way of Skincare products for this age group other than radiance-inducing products; I don't want to be radiant thank you! OK, rant over!

Can we just take a minute to admire the packaging of these products!? I'm loving the pink packaging and metallic pink lids. The Correcting Day Moisturiser claims to "refines skin texture, tightens pores and corrects and perfects skin tone". I honestly just wanted it to hydrate my skin and even it out but I can't believe how amazing this moisturiser is! It's really creamy without being heavy or rich and absorbs into the skin really well. It gives a matte finish; it doesn't leave the skin feeling tight nor saturated- I think it would suit most skin types to be honest! But the most amazing thing about this moisturiser is the effect it's having on my pores- they are honestly disappearing! My skin also appear less shiny as the day wears on which is great news for me and my oily face. My pores appear tightened, less defined and smoothed over. This means that my makeup is lasting longer and I need to use less foundation to cover my imperfections!

In conjunction with this, I've been using the Magic Touch Instant Blur as a primer under my makeup. It's an air-whipped type cream formula which melts onto the skin to smooth over pores and blemishes. It definitely has that blurring effect leaving a soft, smooth base for my makeup to go onto. In partnership with the moisturiser, I'm totally onto a winner here.

Overall, I'm super impressed and pleasantly surprised at how much I'm loving this duo! It's more than I'd typically spend on Skincare but I guess the results speak for themselves. Let me know if you've tried any products from this range- thanks for stopping by x

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water.

I've been using this to cleanse my skin for a while now but I've only just got round to reviewing it! The Garnier Micellar Water is heralded as the high street alternative to the bloggers' favourite Bioderma- except you get a whopping 400ml for such a bargain price! I use this to remove my makeup on my lazy days when I get home from work at stupid o'clock and I can't be bothered using a gel cleanser and then exfoliating etc. 

I like the packaging of this product- it's super simple and it highlights the water-like product inside. The Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water is, as the name suggests, a clear water-like fluid. I use the Formula Eye Makeup Remover Lotion on a cotton pad to remove the majority of my eye makeup, then in use this Micellar Water on two cotton pads- the first takes of the majority of my makeup and the second gets rid of any left over nasties. I personally don't have sensitive skin but I hate the feeling of greasy products on my eyes; this Micellar Water doesn't sting or leave any residue whatsoever on my skin or eyes. It leaves my skin feeling clean but not stripped of any goodness or tight like some alcohol-based cleansers/toners do. The packaging claims that this 400ml bottle equates to 200 uses; I'd be mighty impressed if anyone actually checks this out for reals but I know I've used about a fifth over the past month which is good going! Overall, I'm super impressed and like I've said, I use this several times a week to remove my makeup- it's super quick and simple and inoffensive. Have you tried any Micellar Water products? Elemis Fresh Skin Matte Attack Duo.

In another step on my Skincare search, I bought this Elemis Fresh Skin Matte Attack duo from a spa near me. I thought it was a bargain at £10 for two 25ml products and it's better than committing to buying full sized products and not liking them! The Elemis Fresh Skin range is tailored to young skin between teens and 20s; there's products for Mattifying oily skin and others for creating a healthy glow. They're also more appropriately priced for this age range with everything (including kits) being under £25. 

The Matte Attack duo includes the Purifying Face Wash and Mattifying Moisturiser in travel sizes. Both products have a lovely herbal/botanical smell to them which I usually don't like but I really do with these products- it's really refreshing and invigorating. The Purifying Face Wash is in a thick clear gel formulation that gently foams when massaged into damp skin. It cleans out my pores and leaves my skin feeling unclogged, soft and matte. I use the Mattifying Moisturiser in the morning before applying my makeup; it doesn't have any SPF in it which I normally like in a day cream but my foundation and primer at the minute have SPF in anyway so it's not too much of an issue. It's super hydrating without saturating my skin or leaving it greasy. It's so lovely, I'm a massive fan of this moisturiser and I'd deffo recommend it if you've got oily skin.

Garnier isn't a brand I've ventured into much before, I think mostly because they don't have a specific range for oily skin as far as I'm aware. A few months ago I bought this moisturiser in my quest for more affordable Skincare. The Moisture Match range caters for numerous Skincare needs including dry skin, dull skin etc; I obviously chose the option for oily skin. It's super cheap full price but I bought it on half price offer so it was a bargain. I think the box packaging is nice, it's informative and fresh looking but the packaging of the actual moisturiser itself is very boring and cheap looking. I like the fact that it's in a tube though- it makes it really easy to dispense. 

This product promises to deliver a shine free finish for oily skin. The moisturiser is more of a lotion than a cream which is good for oily skin, however I hate the formula of this product. I can't explain it very well, but when massaging it into my skin it kind of balls up into a texture like a primer. I don't like it! I'm sorry, I rarely do negative product reviews but I need to be a bit more balanced rather than just loving everything all the time! I don't find it hydrating nor Mattifying, I don't like the way it feels on my skin and I don't like the texture. To me, it let's down the side of high street Skincare compared with high end. L'oreal Triple Active Day Light Moisturiser.

I've mentioned before that I've been wanting to switch up my Skincare routine from Clinique products to more affordable ones. This has took me on a journey of trial and error but I've been enjoying using new products to be honest with you. This moisturiser is part of the L'oreal Skincare collection for normal and combination skin. I've been using the Triple Active Mattifying Hydrating Cream at night as I've found it too heavy for me in the day time. Unlike the former, the Triple Active Day Light Moisturiser claims to deliver hydration, radiance and protection in the form of a UV filter, which score bonus points with me as I'm frightened of sun damage. 

I really like that it comes in a tube, it makes it super easy to dispense and feels more hygienic than a glass tub. This cream is quite thick but melts into the skin really easily. It has a similar smell to sun cream if you ask me, which I personally don't find offensive. It leaves my skin feeling matte but hydrated without feeling saturated like the other cream does. I like how this feels light on my skin, as the name suggests, which is perfect for me as I plough loads of makeup on over it. You get a decent 75ml for under £7 which is really reasonable and a little goes a long way with this. So to round up, I'm loving using this moisturiser and think it's really good for the price tag. L'oreal is a brand that I've only recently got into using. As Boots have most of their products on 3for2, I decided to get some new products to try. I fell in love with some of their lip products- I first saw a new shade in my old favourites the Rouge Caresses which give beautiful sheer colour. I've read about the Glamshine Stain Splashes as they're supposed to be dupes of the YSL glossy stains. I'm always on the search for the perfect 'everyday' lipstick and thought that this Colour Riche Collection Privee one in Julianne's Nude looked stunning. I can't wait to try them all out! They also have a lovely new selection of nail varnishes in beautiful pale colours including this pale mint colour. 

Then I bobbed into Suprdrug and decided to get this Solo Eyshadow in Metal Plum which is gorgeous! I think it'll look really nice on its own and as part of a smokey eye. I also noticed that the L'oreal Skincare was on offer so I bought the Triple Active Light Moisturiser for Normal/Combination skin- I like the one I already have but I find it a bit heavy so I use it at night time twice a week. L'oreal Triple Active Anti-Shine Moisturiser.

L'oreal Triple Active Anti-Shine Mattifying Hydrating Moisturiser (£6.49, currently on offer for £4.33 in Boots).

I bought this moisturiser back at the beginning of January when I started my Skincare overhaul but it's taken me this long to test it because I initially couldn't make my mind up about it. I like the packaging of this products, it's simple yet sturdy and I thinks it's a good price point, although I bought it on offer!

The L'oreal Triple Active Anti-Shine Moisturiser is a super thick cream which I personally wouldn't normally associate with use for oily skin. It appears heavy, hydrating and luxurious whereas normally I use products that are light and gel/liquid in formula so as not to be heavy on my oily skin. For me, getting over this was the first problem. Secondly, it is super hydrating for the skin which feels lovely but it felt too much for use before makeup, therefore I've switched to using it as my night cream. This makes total sense for me as it doesn't have any SPF and it's mega hydrating. Having said that, it doesn't leave any residue nor does it feel greasy- it definitely delivers on it's anti-shine and Mattifying claims.

Bath Time and Evening Routine.

I recently posted about the products that I use in the shower/bath so I thought I'd follow that on by showing you my evening routine. I don't always get time it have a soak in the bath, I obvs shower instead, but I love having a bath and find it super relaxing. I like to listen to my YouTube playlist called Sleepy Time in the bath which I sometimes listen to to help me sleep at night. I'm obsessed with Yankee Candles and my mum bought me this Vanilla Frosting one which is in different packaging to the traditional jar candles. It's funny to see my side of the bath filled with products compared with my boyfriend's side with only three products haha! I'm a massive fan of the Avon bubble baths and they're pretty much always on offer- I love this Warm Fig and Vanilla scented one. 

In the bath-

I'm currently focused on getting my hair back into good condition after bleaching my hair a million times last week. I finished using the VO5 Hot Oil Hair Elixir which I've recently rediscovered- I'm definitely going to buy this again- you leave it on for a minute before washing your hair and it makes your hair feel sooooooo soft- I only used it on the mid lengths to ends where my hair is damaged. Then I shampooed my hair with the Front Row Colour Protect Shampoo and used the Front Row Colour Protect Conditioner on the top half of my hair. I used the Tresemme Split Remedy Conditioner on the mid lengths to ends and left both conditioners on for a few minutes. After rinsing them off I squeeze my hair out and clip it up.

Then I used the Tea Tree Facial Scrub (which is a bargain 99p!) on my spotty shoulders to make them less oily. Then I tried out the Avon Naturals Moisturising Body Scrub in Chcoclate scent- I've been a massive fan of both the Strawberry and Vanilla scents so I thought I'd try this one. It's got a super fine grain scrub packed into a thick creamy formula. Then I used the amazing smelling Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Wash on my shower poof. Please note that I normally wear nail varnish on my toes but I re-painted them after having a bath lol. 

Evening Skincare Routine-

I know this isn't Skincare but I've been using the Tresemme Split Remedy Leave In Treatment which my hair just drinks up! The bleach has split my ends so badly and this is helping to mend them. Then I've dug out my Lush Tea Tree Water to tone my skin- I spritz it on and wait for it to soak in. Then I occasionally use the Clinique Pore Refining Solutions Correcting Serum I'd use it everyday except its £38 and it's so good I don't want it to run out. It really tightens my pores and makes them so small! Then I've started using the Skin Wisdom Ultimate Lift Eye Cream which is pretty inexpensive and I'm liking it so far. Then I use the L'oreal Triple Active Anti-Shine Moisturiser as it's super hydrating but mattifying at the same time and I prefer to use this at night as it's a bit heavier.

Wow I could open my own shop using all these products! Like I say, I would normally use this amount of hair stuff but I will be doing for the next month or so while my hair regains it's former condition. Let me know what products you use if you have any recommendations! Thanks for stopping by x

My Current Skincare Routine.

I'm going to share with you my current Skincare routine- it's changed a lot recently as I've been trying out some cheaper alternatives to my previously all-Clinique regime. I don't really have seperate morning and night routines I mostly use the same products whatever time of day. I've got oily skin with the occasional blemish but my main problems are clogged up pores, shine and redness. Here's what I use to fight the good fight.

Cleanse, exfoliate and tone:

I know bloggers say they cleanse, tone and moisturise with different products morning and night but, well I don't. I'm just being totally honest- I'm lazy and it's hard enough to get me to cleanse once a day never mind twice! So recently I've been using and loving the L'oreal Skin Perfection Purifying Gel Wash I use it at the end of the day (which atm is around 8.30am as I'm working nights) to take off my makeup. It foams up really nicely and does the job of getting rid of makeup and makes my skin feel really soft. I actually use the Spa Cleansing Eye Makeup Remover Pads as the cleanser doesn't work very well on my eye makeup. They're about 69p for two packets each with 30 pads in from Home Bargains. Then I use the Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pore and Shine Daily Scrub (err, mouthful!) to exfoliate, it's soft enough to use everyday but still does the job! Then occasionally, I use the Clinique Clarifying Lotion 3 for Oily/Combination skin; I say occasionally because it smells really alcoholy and I don't like the thought of it being harsh on my skin. Also, I'm really lazy! I remember really liking the Lush Tea Tree toner so I might dig that out and give it a try.

Moisturisers and Masks:

I've recently rediscovered the Superdrug Simply Pure Oil Balancing Serum when I sorted out my product storage. It's really good at Mattifying the skin but it can be drying on normal/dry skin patches so I just use it on my T-zone. I'm currently trying out the L'oreal Triple Active Anti-Shine Moisturiser but I'm preferring to use it before bed as it's a bit thicker and more hydrating than the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion which is lovely and light but I'm not sure it particularly combats shine or oil production. Then I use the B. Energised Eye Cream which is a gel rather than a heavy cream; it's nothing special but I like that it doesn't feel heavy or greasy on my eyelids. I'm actually trying out a new eye cream at the moment which I'll review soon! Finally, I use the Soap & Glory Fab Pore Hot Cloth Cleanser as a mask every fortnight, it's just a nice treat to put on and deep clean your skin. I also love that it turns blue haha!

I've mentioned I'm attempting to have a 'budgeted' Skincare overhaul at the minute and next on the agenda is a new facial scrub! I've never in my life used any Neutrogena products but I saw this in Boots tother day and thought I'd give it a try. Currently, all Neutrogena products in Boots are on 2 for £5 so I bought two of these scrubs an basically paid 50p for the second one. I chose this scrub as it's aimed at oily skin with the promise of Mattifying it and tightening pores. So how does it fair?

Can I just say, this is the most amazing smelling facial Skincare product I've ever used! Normally Skincare smells  a bit chemically and artificial which I don't really like; however, this smells just like tangerines! It's a super refreshing smell to use at the end of the day. I've been using this after cleansing with the L'oreal Purifying Gel Wash when I get home from work in the morning (yup, still on nights). It's a super creamy formula with various sized particals- some are more of a light gritty scrub and then there's these little blue podules that 'burst' when you rub them into your skin. This gives a nice gentle exfoliation to clear pores and smooth the skin. It leaves my skin feeling matte and plump without feeling stripped or sandblasted! I used to only exfoliate once a week as the Clinique 7day scrub is a bit more harsh however, this is a perfect daily scrub! Overall I love this product, and it's such a bargain! I made myself a promise that I was going to take better care of my skin hence forth. It's totally down to laziness on my part, I have all the products necessary I just need to put the effort in to use them! Last summer I got myself a whole new Skincare collection from Clinique which I liked but it was all rather expensive! Due to my current financial situation, I've decided to look for more affordable alternatives. Queue the Boots L'oreal Skincare sale! Having oily skin, my main wishes for Skincare is that it mattifies my skin and cleanses and minimises my pores. 

The L'oreal Purifying Gel Wash is a liquid gel cleanser that foams up to clean your skin of makeup and impurities. It's really light and gentle on the skin which I find really refreshing at the end of a long day! Typically I'm super lazy and use makeup wipes (shock horror) but for the past week I've been using this instead and I've already noticed that my pores are much cleaner and smaller. My skin remains oil free for much longer throughout the day- I've been using it in conjunction with my new L'oreal moisturiser from the same range which I've been testing out (review to come soon). I also love that a little product goes a really long way so it's super cost effective! 

The only negative for me is that it doesn't remove eye makeup very well. I've never really liked using cleansers on my eyes as I've always been paranoid that they'd irritate my eyes. I bit the bullet with this and used it on my eyes and tbh it only got rid of about half my mascara, which is a bit rubbish considering I don't even use waterproof eye products. Instead, I've stuck to using my trusted eye makeup remover pads. Despite that, I do really like this product and I'm going to try my hardest to use it everyday as I love the effect it has on my skin! I thought I'd share my haul with you. I've been saving up my Boots Advantage Card points for aggeeessssss and ended up with £42 worth and I had a Boots Christmas voucher so everything from my haul (other than the moisturiser which I bought in Morrisons and I can remember how much it was on offer for!!) was free in Boots! The main things I was excited about getting my mitts on, was the Revlon Colorbursts which every blogger has reviewed bar me ha! I also went for the new Bourjois CC Cream which I've not seen reviewed anywhere yet, I loved the 123 Foundation so hopefully I'll love the CC Cream version. I decided my Skincare routine needed a bit of a more affordable overhaul, luckily, L'oreal products were on offer and I've never used their Skincare so this is an adventure for lil me! Finally, I stocked up on my beloved bathroom favourite, S&G Whipped Clean as I've been waiting for it to go back on 3 for 2 after Christmas.

May Favourites.

Clinique Wash Away Cleansing Gel; Clinique 3-Step Skincare Routine; Clinique Pore Refining Solutions Correcting Serum; MAC Lipstick in Chatterbox.

Clearly, my May Favourites are dominated by my beloved new Clinique Skincare Routine; you can read an update of my progress here. This collective 5-step routine has completely transformed my skin- banishing dryness, oiliness, shine, pores and keeping my skin clean and hydrated. If I had to choose an overall skincare favourite, it would definitely have to be the Pore Correcting Serum- this is for sure a Holy Grail product for getting rid of pores, it honestly truly is amazing! My only makeup favourite this month is MAC Lipstick in Chatterbox- I've pretty much been wearing it every day since I bought it. It's just the ultimate everyday mid-toned pink and pretty much goes with everything. I've been trying loads of different makeup out this month (mostly from my American swap haul!) but I've not had a chance to review them all yet so June might be a makeup overload! My love for Clinique is ever-growing this month and the latest product I added to the collection. Although I'm loving my 3-Step Skincare routine, I still found that I needed some extra help with clearing my pores. Clinique make some pretty serious claims that this Pore Refining Solutions Correcting Serum- after one use, pores are visibly reduced by 33% and after two weeks, pores look 58% smaller. Wow right? 

This my friends, is the Holy Grail of all the skincare products for me. I can't believe how much smaller my pores looked after just one use of this! I couldn't photograph a before and after because the Clinique lady applied it in store and I haven't been able to stop using it since! You use this after cleansing and moisturising the skin, just as a serum or primer. I use the teeny-tiniest amount of this serum (because I'm stingy but also because you don't need it) on my nose, cheeks and chin. It has a matte finish and as if by magic, reduces the size of pores right before your eyes! Now obviously, this product won't work if your pores are clogged full of makeup, dirt and pollution. You don't have to use Clinique stuff (but I would recommend it!) but I'd for sure recommend regular cleansing and exfoliation to provide a good clean skin base. It's a bit on the pricey side for my usual budget but it's sooooooooo worth it!

In a nutshell: Want smaller pores? Get this. Simple.
