November Favourites.

Makeup dominates my favourites this month as I made an e.l.f order mid-month and I've generally just been neglecting my beauty products at the moment. I'm still head over heels in love with No7 Beautifully Matte Foundation in Calico- I don't really need to say much more about it other than it's my perfect foundation shade, finish and coverage. I've been wearing Baby Lips pretty much every day since I got it- it's super easy to wear and goes great with dark eye looks which I've been creating using e.l.f Baked Eyeshadow in Burnt Plum. I've been loving highlighters this month and I've mostly been reaching for the makebelieve one I got in my November She Said Beauty Box. My hair's in great condition at the minute and I'd mostly attribute this to the Mark Hill heat protection spray that I've been using. Please link me to your November Favourites as inspiration for next month!

October Favourites.

My favourites this month are predominantly makeup products as I've been using pretty much the same hair and beauty products as always recently. This Avon palette is fast becoming my favourite eyeshadow collection ever and is super compact and great for travel- it's got all the colours I need in it for both day and night. I've been alternating between the e.l.f blush and the Sleek Contouring Kit depending on my eye and lip choices and I've been really enjoying playing about with contouring my face. I have not used another foundation since I bought No7 Beautifully Matte and I can truthfully say that this is my favourite foundation of all times. I've also been loving wearing the combination of two of my favourite nail varnishes this month- Pearly Queen just takes the lilac varnish to a whole other level! Even my mum wanted me to paint her nails with these colours! Finally, I've been depending on my Stop Cracking Up lip repair to fix my fast drying lips now that winter is upon us- this lip repair isn't glamorous or fancy but by Jove, it does the job! Please leave me the links to your favourites this month!

Best of September.

Soap & Glory Peaches and Clean Cleanser; Tresemme Split Remedy Leave in Treatment; L'oreal Rouge Caresse in Tempting Lilac; Lush Emotional Brilliance in Dynamic; MAC Blusher in Cubic; Chanel Inimitable Intense Mascara Sample; 17 Perk & Paint Eyeliner; 17 Clear Definition Brow Gel

My August favourites were almost exclusively hair care products and this month, it's mostly makeup. I feel like I've not really lusted after anything beauty-wise recently apart from extortionately expensive stuff that I'll probs never buy. I'm still loving my Peaches and Clean cleanser, despite dabbling with a few others I keep coming back to good old S&G. I've had some bad break outs over the past few months but this has always calmed them down and prevented them from getting any worse. After finishing my S&G Thick & Fast mascara I decided to try and use up some of my Chanel mascara samples and I actually really like this one- it creates massive, super spidery black lashes which I love! I've not worn much in the way of eyeshadow this month but I have been wearing Lush Dynamic under my lower lashes. This 17 bargain duo have become essentials in my daily makeup routine. I've also fallen back in love with my Rouge Caresses- particularly Tempting Lilac. Please leave me links to your favourites this month!

Best of August.

Simply Eye Makeup Remover; MeMeMe Lip Cream in China Rose; Avon Moroccan Argon Oil Conditioner; Bepanthen Nappy Care Ointment; Garnier Sun Cream SPF50; Avon Moroccan Argon Oil Shampoo; VO5 Hot Oil Moisture Soak Elixir; Batiste Dry Shampoo in Cherry.

My favourite products in July were mostly makeup and skincare; alternatively this month they're mostly hair care! I've also noticed that I've not reviewed most of these products so that's a bit naughty of me really. I've been loving the effects of lavishing my hair with oily goodness and am definitely feeling the benefits with my newly strong, nourished and shiny hair. The sun cream should probs feature in all of my favourites between April-October because I'm mega paranoid about getting sunburnt so wear sun cream pretty much every day throughout the Spring and Summer. The Simple eye makeup remover is so gentle and not at all oily (I'll have to review this!). And no, I don't have a baby, the Bepanthen is for soothing my new tattoo- it works a treat! Sorry my favourites are a bit boring this month, I've just not bought any new makeup this month really as I've got pretty much everything I want! However, I am having a CHANEL makeover tonight so that statement will be made invalid! Please leave me a comment with a link to your favourites this month and you might inspire me to try something.

In Your Face: Best of July.

Lush Volcano Foot Mask; Essie Nail Varnish in Mint Candy Apple; Clinique Chubby Stick in Heaping Hazelnut; Urban Decay NAKED Palette; No7 Nourishing Lipshine in Pink; Dior Addict Ultra Shine Pearl Lipgloss in Sari Pink; H&M Nail Varnish in Carnival; Model's Own Nail Polish in Jade Stone; Mark Hill Heat Protection Spray; Clinique 7 Day Scrub Cream; Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balmstain in Sweetheart; Garnier BB Cream for Combination/Oily Skin.

Once again, I've been loving loads of different products this month. A few of my Birthday presents are featuring here in the shape of my two minty nail varnishes, the NAKED palette and the super pretty Dior lip gloss. I've been loving wearing different lip products this month, normally I'm pretty boring and just wear MAC lipstick in Hue or L'oreal Rouge Caresse in Fashionista Pink. My everyday 'boring' lip gloss is the No7 Nourishing Lip Shine- it's just so easy to wear and it goes with everything; it's deffo become a handbag staple for me. What have your favourites been this month?

In Your Face: Best of June.

OK, so normally I narrow my monthly favourites down into one hair, beauty, makeup and nail product but that was impossible this month as I've been loving using so many products! I've been loving changing up my nails from nudes with nail art to this stunning blue from H&M- it looks like a total dupe of a Nails Inc. polish that's everywhere atm. I couldn't have a monthly favourites without my Real Techniques brushes, I'm using them everyday and enjoying it so much, they're soooooo soft! I've been loving using the e.l.f Everyday Eye kit, it's perfect for creating so many different looks for day and night; the shadows are so pigmented and smooth. The Peaches & Clean Cleanser is disappearing thick and fast but I'm still loving the delicious smell and how soft it leaves my skin. This is a pretty short post cause I've reviewed most of these products and have linked them above. What have been your favourites this June?

Best of May.

H&M Nail Polish in Bella's Choice; Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation; Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream; Tresemme Split Remedy Serum.

So last month I decided to start a 'best of' post, forcing myself to choose my favourite beauty, nail, hair and makeup product of that month (see April's here). It's a bit of a challenge cause I either get stuck with old favourites or have tried so many that I can't decide! This month I've kinda cheated because I've classed the Maybelline BB cream as beauty rather than makeup- so that's my beauty product of the month. It's just perfect for this awesome weather we're having in the UK atm: it's super light, gives good coverage, has SPF30 and is oil-free. It's super quick to apply too and in the summer you wanna just play out not sit inside applying layers of makeup for hours. The 123 Perfect has been my go-to foundation, especially in the evenings or when I want more coverage than the BB cream can give me. I wouldn't have thought last month that anything could steer me away from my MAC Pro Longwear foundation but this sure has!

I bought this nail varnish for £2.99 without particularly high hopes- I just really loved the colour and thought it was a bargain. I was so surprised to find that the coverage and colour were amazing and it's really long lasting! I initially wore it on my toe nails (which looked ace) but now I've got it on my fingers- its just a super cool teal colour and is super summery. I've gone back and bought some more H&M nail varnishes and couldn't recommend them more if you're after a bargain! Finally, the hair category- like I've said before, I'm not big on hair care (mostly cause I haven't got much hair atm!) so I chose the Split Remedy Serum because it's one of my hair care staples atm. When I bleached my hair (to have it pink) it left my hair in a real sorry state and I'm paying the price now but this serum's helping my hair along. I've recently bought the leave in treatment from the same range which pretty much is the same product but makes your hair all shiny and nice. So there it is, have you used any of these products?

p.s My ebay listings have finished- I hope some of y'all got involved! I'll be listing some more items in due course so I'll keep you posted on them.

Best of April.

This is a new post I’m thinking of doing on a monthly basis, I’d love to know what you think so please leave me a comment below. Essentially, every month I’m going to choose one product from four categories (beauty, makeup, hair and nails) that I’ve been loving using during that month. I know I already do my monthly makeup bag posts but I thought this would be something extra and a little different.

OK, so this month’s beauty product of the month is the Superdrug Simply Pure Oil Balancing Serum. Since I started blogging in December, I’ve really been getting into skincare and I’m reaping the benefits of a strict routine. I found it difficult to choose my beauty product of the month cause I have tried so many amazing products this month but this one stands out the most for me. I’ve never used a serum before, so in purchasing this I was entering unknown territories but this product has definitely taken my skin to the next level. It totally eradicates any remnants of oil on the skin and lasts all day. I’ve been wearing it under my moisturiser (under my makeup) as instructed and it just adds that extra layer of smoothness and matteness. Plus it’s a total bargain at around £3.50; I’ve actually just bought another bottle of this because it was on offer and I’m already about half way through this one!

Again, I’ve tried loads of awesome makeup products in April but due to the fact that I’ve purchased three of these, it had to be the L’oreal Rouge Caresses. I know there’s been mixed reviews about these lipstick/balm hybrids but I think it’s all about what you’re wanting out of a lipstick. I want something that won’t exaggerate my dry lips and will hydrate and soften them; and that’s exactly what Rouge Caresse does. Although Fashionista Pink (my first shade) doesn’t really show up on my pigmented lips, I’ve been using it as a clear balm/gloss both on its own and over other lip products. I’m using Lovely Rose and Tempting Lilac fairly interchangeably depending on my mood and what I’m wearing. I think the lilac really compliments my purple hair. I’ve included a photo of the three shades swatched and as you can see, they’re all fairly transparent (especially Fashionista Pink) however, they look lovely on the lips.

Comparatively, choosing my hair product of the month was a breeze! I’ve mentioned before that I don’t have a hair care routine per se, and the Tresemme Liquid Gold hair oil has just made my hair feel so soft, shiny and healthy it’s unreal. I also like how a little goes a long way, as I’ve been using it at least once a day and I can just start to see the ‘water’ line at the top of the bottle. This is for sure a high-street wonder product for me! Finally, the nail varnish; although I post photos of my nails with outfit posts, I’ve never reviewed a nail varnish before so I thought this would be a good way to do so. So the winner is, the MaxFactor nail varnish in Fantasy Fire...JOKE I hate that stuff! Really, it is the Look Beauty Nail Pop in Ribbon. I chose this because I’m loving the coral shade for Spring and it’s so pastely and lovely. The coverage of Look Beauty Nail Pop is amazing and it’s really long lasting, and for £5 a bottle my collection is sure to grow thick and fast. Well, I hope you enjoyed this post and hopefully I’ll be making it a monthly occurrence. Have you used any of these products, if so what d’you think?
