Fave Five: Nude Lipsticks.

MAC Glaze in Hue; MeMeMe Long Wear Satin Lip Cream in China Rose; Marks & Spencer lipstick in Nude; Look Beauty Loud Lips in Toffee Cup; Kat Von D Painted Love Lipstick mini  in Celebutard (from set but available in full size).

I never used to wear nude lipsticks because I always thought it was pretty pointless when I was younger but now I love wearing them and have a good mini-collection going on. I've chosen my favourite five nude lipsticks here to share with y'all. My favourite one of the five would have to be Kat Von D Painted Love Lipstick in Celebutard which is typical me because you can't buy it in the UK without paying over the odds on ebay, unless you're planning a trip to the States. It's the perfect mix of peach, pink and nude all wrapped up in a creamy matte formula. I actually took this lipstick to MAC to see if I could get a dupe and decided on Hue which is the perfect colour match but has that glaze finish rather than a matte one. This might seem weird but I love the way the Look Beauty Loud Lips smell- they're really sweet and vanillary and the colour of Toffee Cup is delicious! The MeMeMe one is definitely the darkest of the bunch and I'd say it was more of a rosey-nude. I don't think the M&S one is available any more (sorry) because I actually bought this in the sale when they were getting rid of their old makeup range but I'm sure there's a similar shade in either their new Autograph or Limited Collection ranges. What are your favourite nude lipsticks?

Fave Five: Ice-Cream Nails.

Nails Inc. for InStyle Magazine; Barbara Daly Pink; Avon Nailwear Pro in Aqua Fantasy, Luxe Lavender and Lemon Sugar.

In my eyes, Avon dominate the ice-cream nail shades arena; my first ever ice-cream shade was in fact Luxe Lavender which is just the smoothest strong lilac I've seen. Aqua Fantasy has a lovely pearly shimmer running through it as does Lemon Sugar- the latter of which I am kind of paranoid about wearing as a block colour because I'm not tanned to it can make me look like I've got a skin deficiency- not a good look. I also buzz off the Nails Inc. for InStyle Magazine powder blue. The thing I love most about ice-cream shades is that they all work together as block alternate colours or as various patterns and nail art. They also add a splash of not-too-intense colour to any old outfit. What are your favourite ice-cream nail varnishes?

p.s By the time you read this I'll be getting ready to leave (if not already on my way) on the road trip up north for my holiday with my boyfriend's family which I'm super excited about. I doubt the cottage will have le internet so I probs won't be replying to comments for a week or so. Have a lovely week girlies!

Fave Five: Blushers.

Vivo Baked Blush in Peaches and Cream; Chanel Joues Contraste in Pink Explosion; Marks and Spencer Limited Collection in Melba; MAC in Cubic; Marks and Spencer Limited Collection in Dusky Rose.

Oh me oh my, I love these blushers! As you can see, there's a bit of a theme with the light pink and coral/peach shades going on here. As I'm quite pale and like to play up my lips and eyes a lot, I tend to go for more pastel shade blushers which are buildable. Pink Explosion is an all time favourite of mine with it's baby pink powder and micro glitter; Melba also has micro glitter in it but is a much stronger shade. I also love matte blushers with Cubic and Dusky Rose being perfect examples of that. The Vivo Baked Blush has to be my ultimate bargain blusher at £4 coming with such a large amount of product. I'm totally in love with the M&S ones atm though and I just keep swapping between them two depending on how I've done my eyes and lips that day. What are your fave blushers- are there any I need to know about?

Fave Five: Glitter Nail Varnish.

Look Beauty Nail Pop in Bling; Rimmel Lasting Finish in Disco Ball; OPI in Mad As A Hatter (from the Alice in Wonderland Collection); Models Own Hedkandi in Ibiza Mix; Barry M in Iridescent Pink.

This is just a new post where I thought I'd do a themed 'top five' maybe every other week. I thought I'd start with the sparkling madness of Glitter Nail Varnish; these are my favourite five and I love wearing them both alone and on top of regular nail varnishes. Of the five, my favourites are joint Mad As A Hatter which has predominantly purple-toned glitter but with pinks and other shades added into the mix and Ibiza Mix which has different sized particles and looks gorgeous over pretty much any shade of varnish. The only thing about glitter varnish is that it's so darn hard to get off! After some online investigations, I've found the best method of removal is to soak cotton wool in nail varnish remover, place it on the nail and wrap it in tin-foil for around 5mins then the glitter comes off real easy. Have you tried any glitter nail varnishes that I need to try out?
