What I Did This Week #17.

Last week I joined the wonderful world of Instagram with my new iphone. Follow me at medusa_roisin over on Instagram. I've had a good week this week, so let's see what I got up to...
1. Fangirl- after instagraming a photo of me wearing the (not as yet available in the UK) Kelly Osbourne for MAC lipstick in Dodgey Girl, I was super shocked when Miss Kelly O herself liked my photo! I'm loving the lilac lippy, so much so that I've ordered two of them!
2. Relax don't do it- I had a lovely spa afternoon on Wednesday with my fella's mum. I was having a bit of a shit day on Tuesday so I feel like I let it all out with a back massage, facial and brow wax! I also did some at home upper lip waxing yesterday which went a lot better than I expected- God how weird am I?!
3. Lazy Saturday- I worked until midnight on Friday so I had a lovely lie in yesterday then pootled  about the house tidying up and sorting out my next Avon order.

I hope you're OK and you're having a nice weekend. I've got a busy week ahead of me! Thanks for stopping by x

Kelly and Sharon Osbourne for MAC Pre-Launch Event.

On Thursday I attended a pre-launch event at MAC in Selfridges for the much anticipated (by me at least) Kelly and Sharon Osbourne MAC makeup collection. I went with my besie Dany and we had a great time checking out the new products. Two of the MAC artists created looks using the Kelly and Sharon products- I actually preferred the Sharon look that was created as it was super wearable and glamorous. I thought the Kelly look was a bit heavy on the eyes and I didn't feel like it suited the model to be honest! We then got to play around with the products before ordering our faves- I'm currently waiting for them to arrive through the post! Eeeeee exciting!

The Sharon collection is encased in classy red packaging and includes brand new Mineralize Skinfinish, blusher, eyeshadow quad and more. This half of the collection focuses around super wearable neutral shades in the bronze and brown shades. But naturally my interest was in my second favourite style icon's half of the collection. Encased in a beautiful lilac packaging, the Kelly collection includes a brow duo, an eyeshadow palette, four lipsticks and more. To be honest, I wanted it all but I restrained myself to five products. I love the names of all the products, they're so English it's hilarious to imagine what people from around the world think about them! I ordered the Kelly eyeshadow palette in Bloody Brilliant, the Mineralize Skinfinish in Jolly Good, x2 Lipsticks in Dodgey Girl (lilac matte) and blusher in Cheeky Bugger. Dodgey Girl is the most stunning matte lilac lippy so I couldn't resist buying it (twice!) I instagramed (follow me @ medusa_roisin) this photo of me wearing the Kelly lippy and Kelly O herself liked it which was super exciting! I kind of wish I bought the eyebrow duo from the Kelly collection so I might buy that once they launch in store. I'll be blogging about the products when they arrive so watch this space! New Kate Moss for Rimmel Launches.

Kate Moss for Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipsticks in 33 and 28 (£5.49 each) and Scandaleyes Shadow Stick in Deep Amythest (£4.49; from Superdrug).

Some brand new collab products have landed on Superdrug shelves in the form of Rimmel and Kate Moss mascaras, eyeliners, eyeshadows and lipsticks. I made a purchase, taking advantage of Superdrug's 3for2 offer, getting two of the new lipstick shades and an eyeshadow crayon. I'm not a fan of Kate Moss, I've bought these totally based on my liking of Rimmel products and these alluring new shades. Firstly, I love the packaging of these products, they're super simple and sleek yet stand out on the shelves from other products.

Lasting Finish Lipsticks are super creamy and moisturising in formulation whilst giving great colour payoff and last well on the lips. I must say- I find that I have to reapply these ones a lot more than the Matte formula of the Kate Moss lipsticks but that's not too much of an issue for a £5-odd lippy! Shade 33 is a super wearable mid-toned Barbie pink and 28 is very similar but has more coral undertones.

Scandaleyes Shadow Stick in Deep Amythest is quite simply stunning! The formula is super creamy and smooth which makes it lovely to blend out on the lid. It's perfect for creating a dramatic look because it's so dark and powerful looking. I've tended to wear this at night because it is so dark but I think this would be gorgeous for AW14.

Have you tried any of the new Kate Moss launches? Let me know in the comments below. Thanks for stopping by x

Nails Inc. Latex Effect in Shoreditch High Street.

Nails Inc. Latex Effect in Shoreditch High Street (bought as part of a set from QVC, available for £12 seperately).

A new effect launch from Nails Inc. in the format of their Latex Effect varnish caught my eye recently, I decided to purchase a three piece set from QVC. The Latex Effect varnishes are a form of matte finish varnish but with the softness and texture of latex. I really like the principle and the packaging is gorgeous with the latex effect lid. It's available in four shades including a stunning mint blue and two nude shades. I purchased shade Shoreditch High Street is a stunning hot pink that is so so girly.

In theory, this nail varnish is stunning. When you first apply it, it's got a gorgeous soft matte finish which literally feels like smooth latex. But this nail varnish chips like a mofo which sucks! It literally didn't last 24hrs without every nail being chipped. Obviously you can't wear a top coat over this because it would ruin the latex matte effect. Overall, I'm pretty gutted about this, I wouldn't recommend it which I hate to say! Thanks for stopping by x

Chanel Pink Lipstick and Nail Varnish Duo.

Chanel Rouge Coco in 59 Dedicace (£25) and Le Vernis in 535 May (£18, both from John Lewis).

I had my makeup done at Chanel this weekend, which has become a tri-annual thing that myself and my fella's mam get invited to. I love Chanel makeup, it's so luxurious and classy but with that comes a mega price tag. I treated myself to a new nail varnish and lipstick duo in super wearable bubblegum pink.

Rouge Coco is one of my favourite lipstick formulas- it's so creamy and hydrating with good colour payoff. I just wish it was available in more unusual shades rather than classic Chanel shades, but you can't win them all! Dedicace is a beautiful mid toned rosey pink that is super light and summery. I think it's very 60s and would look fab with a proper smokey eye. I fell in love with May when I saw it- it's from last year's Spring/Summer collection. It gives a flawless, glossy full coverage which lasts really well. May is a proper bubblegum pink but it's sophisticated rather than childish or tacky somehow. I've put some photos of me wearing them below. I hope you're OK, thanks for stopping by x

What I Did This Week #16.

It's been a busy old week in Roisin world. I worked Sunday-Thursday which was super tiring but I've had my full quota of three days off this weekend which has been lovely!
1. We're going through changes- it's the end of an era where I've said goodbye to my old Blackberry and hello to the modern world with my brand new iPhone 5c! I'm slowly learning and loving my new phone including dipping my toe into the world of Instagram (follow me on medusa_roisin). I've also had my hair cut and changed my fringe! I'm still finding it a bit weird as it's only been 24hrs but we'll see!
2. Home improvements- I bought a couple of things for my house the other day as I really want to get a grip and make my house tidier and more organised.
3. Fashion favours the brave- I've been loving my fashion and the nice weather has enabled me to wear some more summery items including my new pink shoes.

I hope you're OK and you've had a nice weekend. I've got a super fun week ahead of me! Thanks for stopping by x

Essie Nail Varnish in Spin the Bottle.

Essie Nail Varnish in Spin the Bottle (from the Latest in Beauty box, available seperately for £7.99).

I've found it, I've found the perfect everyday nail varnish colour! I'm not allowed to wear nail varnish but (naughty me) I do so on the regular. Spin the Bottle is the perfect peachy nude shade that can go undetected but still looks stylish! I think this would look stunning with an LBD and some lovely jewellery. I love Essie nail varnishes as they give flawless coverage and last really well on the nails. I'm loving this shade in comparison with my usually colourful nail varnishes. I hope you're all OK, thanks for stopping by x
