Kat and Pyewacket 

The thought that there's a Cat Tag on the internet and I've not done it yet is unreal to me. So here it is!

1. Breed or stray? All cats get love from me! However, I'm definitely a moggy kind of girl- all the cats I've had have been rescued in one way or another. 
2. Regardless of your previous answer, what would your favourite breed be? I love Maine Coons as they're like mini lions with their long hair and they're the biggest domestic cat I've seen. I also love Spynx cats as they're so unusual and I bet they feel like velvet to stroke!
3. Any Cat themed clothes or accessories? I have a tattoo of a cat and another tattoo in tribute of my baby cat Pyewacket. I've got loads of cat themed clothing and accessories including dresses, a skirt, slippers, charms, necklaces, rings etc!
4. Whats your kitty's name? I have three that live with my parents. Jess (named by his previous owners after Postman Pats cat); Moshi and Kat (after Kat Von D).
5. Favourite Toy? Jess and Kat just love being stroked.  But Moshi loves cardboard boxes- he loves sleeping in them but he goes wild if you close the lid and tap on the sides- he turns into a ninja! 
6.Whats your kitty's favourite food? They all eat Whiskas in Gravy- but every Friday we get gem scraps from the supermarket fishmongers as a treat! And tuna, they love tuna!  
7. Lazy or Fierce Hunter? Moshi is 100% a hunter. He's killed so many things like pigeons and mice etc. Jess isn't that clever so I don't think he's ever killed anything haha. Kat's a bit chubby so she can't really chase anything lol. 
8. Favourite Activity? They all love being fussed over and cuddled. I think Kat loves eating the most though!
9. Does you cat have any strange habits? Jess dribbles when he's content which is a bit annoying! Moshi pretends to ignore you if you've not seen him for a while which really upsets me but then as you're leaving he comes over crying so you stroke him!

Music Tag.

I've just stumbled across this tag via Make up Pixi3's blog this evening. I couldn't wait to get answering the questions myself as music is such a huge part of my life and anyway to combine music and blogging is alright by me! Did you know that I used to do an 'album of the week' weekly post reviewing my favourite albums? Lil fact for you there- I might resurrect that trend in the near future (leave me a comment if you're interested!). So, on with the tag!

What’s your favourite type of music?

Metal. Metal. Metal. Metal. Metal. But seriously, I'm a metalhead in every-which-way and I like most metal across the history of the genre. I also like classic rock (think Deep Purple, Rainbow and Thin Lizzy), I love Jeff Buckley and the odd female artist like Amy Winehouse and Lana Del Rey. I'm super fussy when it comes to music though, I definitely know what I like!

What’s your least favourite type of music?

Hip Hop, Rap, R&B and 99.9999999% of modern pop music. I don't like music that doesn't evoke any emotions in me and these genres specifically don't say anything to me. Each to their own though- I know metal won't say anything to most people other than "guess how much noise these guys can make".

What’s the best gig you’ve been to?

It depends really. I've seen Muse live 8-9 times but I really hate their last two albums so one of the first few gigs of their's that I went to would have to be up there. I also loved seeing Heaven & Hell and it was extra special as Ronnie James Dio died a few years later- I'm so glad I got to hear him sing live before he passed away. I also love really small intimate gigs where everyone in the room is totally feeling the music and enjoying themselves. For me, a good gig is defined by a tight band, with good vibes and who get the crowd going.

What albums are you listening to at the moment?

I've not listened to anything new for ages, other than Bring Me The Horizon's new album Sempiternal which I LOVE! They're my favourite band and they just keep getting better! I've also been listening to The Elijah- I Loved/I Hated/I Destroyed/I Created, you should deffo check this band out! They're kind of like a hardxcore soundscape band if that makes any sense, and they are unreal live! 

I've also been listening to some old favourites like Metallica- Ride The Lightning; Parkway Drive- Don't Close Your Eyes and Woe, Is Me- Numbers.

What's your favourite bands/artists & favourite albums?

My favourite bands are: Bring Me The Horizon; Muse (first 4 albums only); The Black Dahlia Murder; Rainbow; Metallica; Black Sabbath; The Devil Wears Prada; Mastodon; Paramore; Iwrestledabearonce; Underoath; Deaf Havana; Bleed From Within; This Will Destroy You; We Butter The Bread With Butter... the list goes on!

My favourite albums are (ahem): BMTH- There is a hell, belive me I've seen it. There is a heaven let's keep it a secret; Muse- Origin of Symmetry; Metallica- Ride The Lightning; Iwrestledabearonce EP; The Black Dahlia Murder- Nocturnal; Mastodon- The Hunter; Mastodon- Crack the Skye; Deaf Havana- Meet Me Half Way At Least; Rainbow- Rainbow Rising; Black Sabbath- Paranoid; Gustav Holst- The Planets.

If you could instantly know how to play any instrument, what would it be?

Either the guitar or piano. I'm a massive sucker for synths in metal and I love classical piano so that would be ace. But I can't deny that playing the guitar would be fucking awesome. My boyfriend's an awesome axe man and has played in loads of bands but even he can't teach me to shred! Alas, a fan of music is all I'll ever be! 

Beauty Things I Suck At #Tag.

I stumbled across this tag on Kat's blog Cherries In The Snow and thought I'd give it a go as it sounds like it's got me written all over it! I'm not sure who started the tag but let's give it a go! I myself am not a make up artist, I've never worked on a beauty counter or for a beauty company or magazine. So obviously, I'm no expert and I'm not ashamed to say that I have my flaws in the beauty department! So here's five thing I'm no good at but probs should be as a so-called blogger:

1. Body Moisturising- This is a big one- I see bloggers reviewing loads of luxury, thick and creamy fancy body butters and sometimes I myself go out an buy them with the best intentions of using them. It's not that I don't like the products, it's simply that I can never be bothered to apply it after a shower or a bath! Lazy I know, but who really has the time??? I know I don't. So what's my solution? I use my beloved Soap & Glory Whipped Clean Shower Butter- it's a shower wash and a butter all in one, perfect! 

2. Neglecting My Hair- Pretty much anything involving my hair annoys me. I hate washing it, drying it, straightening it, using products in it, styling it- everything! I just find it so tedious and boring and it never stays how I want it to look for long! I'm actually growing my hair at the minute (it's taking FOREVER) so I just have it up in a ponytail all the time. 

3. Tanning- Fake or real I am a tan-a-phobe. I've always burnt pretty easily but when I got to about 16yrs old I became obsessed with protecting my skin from the sun- even the slightest peak of sunlight and I put on sun cream. I did try using gradual fake tanning products for a while but the maintenance of it just put me off. So I'm as pale as the day I was born!

4. Not Looking After My Lips- This is partly my fault and partly not- I do get horrendously dry lips during the colder months but I don't help myself as I probably should. I moisturise my lips fairly sporadically and I don't know much about which lip balms are good and which aren't- I usually just get the cheap ones. 

5. Not Chipping My Nails- I could buy the most expensive, high-end nail varnish in the world with the greatest claims and I'd still chip it within 24hrs. Fact. I'm really heavy handed and generally clumsy so nail varnish doesn't stand a chance on my hands.
