Mini Sales Haul.

Breakfast Set (was £12 now £4); Christmas Napkin Set (was £8 now £4); Scone Baking Set (was £16 now £4) all from Next.

Can I just note before I begin that I bought all this last week before I started my 100 Day Challenge- this is the kind of spending I'm trying to combat!!

 

Next is a shop I normally avoid as I find the clothes quite boring and mumsy. However, the sales were a calling and my housey needs needed to be met so I braced myself and entered into the unknown (did I really just write that? Get a grip Roisin!). I was pleasantly excited by their Christmas gift sale and got these bad boy bargains which I thought I'd share with you all. I love this super cute breakfast set- I think it's meant to be Christmasy but the vintage floral designs will surely be acceptable all year round. I couldn't believe it when I saw it was only £4! I love these berry toned Christmas napkins with super cute ties that say things like 'Eat, Drink and Be Merry'. I also think these would make a lovely gift but I'm personally going to keep these for myself. Finally, I got this baking set which was a mega 75% off! The set comes with two cloth napkins, a scone mix, a scone metal cutter and a ceramic mixing bowl with a lovely design on it. I hope you yourselves have got some excellent sales bargains! I've not blogged for a few days so I thought I'd ease my way back in with a good old elf haul. I received an email from them last week with a 30% off secret code that only lasted for a few hours so I got my shimmy on and ordered this lot. Everything I bought came out at under £3.50 (note the prices above are the full prices listed on the website) which is ridiculous! I wanted to try some new lip products so I thought I'd try their bargain liquid lipsticks in two different shades and one of their lipsticks. The product I'm most excited about is elf's new lip exfoliator- I love the Lush Sweet Lips lip scrub but was super excited about this elf one being in bullet form. I also thought I'd try their new baked eyeshadow in Burnt Plum, I tend to find baked eyeshadows and blushers to have a much more intense and bold colour than regular powders and this shade looks perfect for AW. 

I've always wanted to try a Bareminerals foundation because I'm intrigued by the hype of a powder foundation having good coverage. So I decided to have a go with the elf version and see what the craic is. Finally, I bought a nail varnish which is meant to be lilac but looks really dark in real life. Let me know of any elf products that I need to get trying! 

Housey haul #3.

Some more housey bargains to share with you my lovelies! You can check out my last housey haul post here. This post features bargains from Primark, TK Maxx and IKEA. I've only included a couple of things from IKEA as I mostly bought boring stuff like pans, a grater and a dish drainer but they were all super cheap so I'd recommend you check IKEA out if you're setting up home like me. 

Bathroom Tumbler and Soap Dispenser set (£4); Bake sign with hooks (£3); Caddy set (£5) all from Primark. Oh Primark was on fire last week (not literally I might add) in both the home and clothing departments! I spent wayyy too much but got some really gorgeous stuff so I don't care! I thought this bathroom set was a mega bargain- all the other tumblers and soap dispensers I've seen have been around £8 and were made of glass which I don't think is the best idea for in a bathroom. I couldn't say no to this 'bake' sign- it's got little hooks on the bottom which I'm thinking will be good for hanging aprons and tea towels on in the kitchen. I finally got my hands on a caddy set for a bargain £5! I always think the pot ones are really heavy before you've even put anything in them but these tin ones are really light- and cute!

Bed throw (£15) from Primark. I'll tell you a story about this quilt. I saw this well over a month a go in Primark when I went shopping with my chum but I didn't get it because I was going to buy my beloved River Island coat so couldn't justify spending the money nor did I want to carry a massive coat and quilt all night! I've been kicking myself ever since because I've not seen it in the Primark near me and all the other ones I've seen online have been £60+! I hate missing out on a beautiful bargain. However, thank the Lord, I finally got my mitts on it last week and I'm so glad because there were hardly any left at all! I love the vintage floral patchwork print and think this will be super cosy on our bed!

Vintage style milk tin (£2.99) and metal colander (£4.99) both from TK Maxx. I really hate TK Maxx for clothes shopping but I do like it for housey shopping. I had to have this colander- it's massive, it's a bargain and it's the most beautiful pastel blue ever! It goes perfectly with all my other pastely kitchen treats! I just love this vintage tin- they had all different designs like milkshake and hot chocolate and tbh, I did want them all but I restrained myself! I thought this would be perfect for keeping flour in as its got one of those air-tight seal lids. 

Plant pot (£2) and napkin holder (£3) both from IKEA. I'm not going to use either of these products for their intended use! My mum was given one of these plant pots with a flower in by my gran and I've always loved it. I got myself one to keep our kitchen utensils in (you know, ladles, wooden spoons etc) as I love the cream lacey design. I bought this rose design napkin holder to use as a letter rack (apologies as I didn't want to get it out of the cellophane yet). It's pretty solid metal and I think it be a really nice way to keep our letters neat and tidy.

I think my boyfriend might think he's entered some sort of floral wonderland when I sees all the house stuff I've bought but he did say that it was up to me! I've really enjoyed buying loads of housey bits and it's got me super excited about moving out- we've just got to find a place and get me started at work now! 

Office Shoe Bargains.

Leopard Print Heels (£20 reduced from £60) and Suede Heels (£10 reduced from £65) both pairs from Office. 

I don't need any more shoes but when they're this much of a bargain who cares!?! I bought these shoes on separate occasions but saw them both at the same time when I went shopping a few weeks ago with my mum. I tried them both on but at the time, the black ones were still £30 which I thought was still a bit much for heels that I didn't need. I bought the leopard print ones there and then but a last week saw the black ones online for £10 and I couldn't say no! They actually came really quickly and I couldn't fault Office's online service with P&P being a meagre £3.50 which I thought was ace. I fell inlove with the chunky heels with both pairs and thought it would make them easier to walk in and much comfier. The black ones haven't photographed very well but the platform and heel is patent black, the main body of the shoe is suedey and the part where your heel sits and the strap is a beautiful silvery lilac metallic shade- kind of like chrome. I just thought I'd share these bargains with you lovelies! 

Housey Haul #2.

The housey purchases just keep on coming so I thought I'd share some of my bargain finds with you. Some of them I can't remember the exact prices of but I know around how much they cost so I hope that helps! I'm a fan of the whole shabby chic, cute, kitschy look with pastel colours and vintage floral prints. I'm going to Primark tomorrow and to IKEA on Friday so I'll be buying lots more 'practical' housey stuff from there but I'm really looking forward to going! So anyway, here's my housey things...

Sugared Almonds Apron (£4); Sandwich Tray (approx. £3.50); Set of 4 Stackable Mugs (approx. £6) all from Tesco. Whilst looking online for the price of this apron, I've just discovered that there's a whole Sugared Almonds range at Tescos and I'm currently lusting after their tea/coffee/sugar canisters and biscuit tin! I love aprons with a pocket and this one has a contrasting pink polka dot pocket which is super cute! I bought this sandwich tray and a large tray that matches (not pictured) because they're super cute and great for teas on knees. I'm not a fan of the concept of stackable mugs for some reason but I love the pattern on these ones and 4 mugs for £6 isn't too bad tbh.

Heart Shaped Metal Fruit Bowl (£3.99) from B&Ms. I can't believe this fruit bowl was only £4! It's fairly big and I just love the hearts around the side- I think it's definitely got that whole shabby chic feel to it even though it's a brand new item.

Vintage Style Multi Photo Frame (£3.99) from B&Ms. You can't beat B&Ms for vintage style fancy frames- I've bought a few from them now but they sell out really quick so you just have to get them when you see them. I think multi frames like this look nice with pretty patterned paper in the smaller frames and photos in the larger ones.

Plastic storage baskets (£1.49 for a pack of two) from B&Ms. I store all of my beauty products (non-makeup) in a shallow pink plastic basket that I bought from B&Ms a while ago and knew I wanted some more for when I move out. I found these bad boys and think they'd be perfect for storing all kinds of things from spice jars to kitchen cleaning products to scarves- the list is endless really! They come in a variety of shapes, sizes and colours.

I love a good bargain, especially when it comes to makeup. But low cost alone isn't enough: for a product to be a true bargain, it has to work and deliver on it's promises.
