Top 10 Makeup BLOW-OUTS.

Following on from yesterday's 'Top 10 makeup bargains' post, today's top 10 features makeup blow-outs- high-end, luxury products with a hefty price tag. These are the items I've dreamed about and either saved up for or been lucky enough to have been bought as gifts. As with my bargain post, these aren't just any old expensive makeup items, they're the ones that I think are worth the money and are worth lusting after as they're great quality and generally deliver on all fronts. Most of these products are available in department stores like Debenhams, some are also available in Boots- apart from the Kat Von D palette which is only available in Sephora in the US (or sneaky ebay).

Chanel Jous Contraste Blusher (£31); MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural (£21).
MAC Lipstick (£14); Chanel Rouge Coco lipstick (£24).

What are your favourite high-end makeup products?

In Your Face: Clinique Chubby Sticks.

Clinique Chubby Sticks in Mighty Mimosa and Heaping Hazelnut (£16 each, buy two and get a case free).

I went shopping with my dad last week which is more like trying to make sure my dad doesn't get lost whilst he walks round shops reading a magazine rather than shopping! He said I should pick some stuff out for my birthday and under much duress, because I felt real guilty about getting expensive things, I chose the Urban Decay Naked Palette (which has been wrapped up for the birthday bunny to bring me) and I chose this Mighty Mimosa Chubby Stick. My dad pointed out that if you buy two, you got a coloured case for free- I was of course aware of this but thought one Chubby Stick was expensive enough- so I got Heaping Hazelnut as well. I love the packaging of the Chubby Sticks with the silver lid and twisting base, for revealing more product, and I love that you can see the colour of the product via the packaging rather than having to look at the name on the base- MAC I'm pointing at you. The products come in lovely subtle floral boxes which I didn't want to throw away but made myself because I wanted to store them in my freebie case. There were different shade-responding colour options of the case but I went for a pink option which the super cute pink lips zip.

The Chubby Sticks are available in around 16 shades which is just vast and it did take me ages to decide which ones I wanted! I went for these shades as I have quite a lot of bright lip products but not so many 'everyday' more subtle shades. I assumed that they were balm-stains as the Revlon Just Bitten Kissables have been heralded as dupes but the Chubby Stick is a moisturising lip balm, giving a hint of colour whilst hydrating the lips. Mighty Mimosa is a super pretty peachy coral with golden micro-glitter and Heaping Hazelnut is a perfect everyday peachy nude which reminds me of my beloved MAC lipstick in Hue. They give a subtle hint of colour to the lips, perfect for a daytime look or for teaming with smoky eyes or a bright outfit. My only issue, and it's a minor one, is that they don't smell of anything and I love fun-scented lip products but I get that Clinique are all about fragrance-free, super good for your skin products. They do last a fairly long time which surprised me because most balm-type products either sink-in or slide off fairly quickly in my experience. Tbh though, I just love reapplying these products with their chunky crayon dispenser and they are so smooth and soft, they just glide on. I'm super excited that my dad treated me to these because I probs wouldn't have ever got them otherwise. Have you tried any of the Chubby Sticks?

p.s Today is my graduation so I'll probs do an outfit post so y'all can see what I look like dressed up.
